Oh, hi. And thank you in advance :-)
I'm currently leasing a 2011 TL SH-AWD with the Tech package. I've referred to this forum on several occasions when I've had questions about my car. I finally decided to just sign up.
I hit 50k miles recently (good thing I like this car, since I'll end up buying it!) and I need a B123 service(s). I chatted online with a service rep from my dealership and was quoted $633. Whiskey.Tango.Foxtrot.
I searched and saw suggestions in other threads that you buy the parts/fluids OOP, then save money by paying for the labor only. After shopping around, the supplies are going to cost me $200. Will I really save that much by going this route? Is the dealership going to give me crap if I provide all of this to them? I wanted to hear what others experienced if they tried this.

you can take your own fluids and parts to them. if your dealer hassles you, then they don't want your business.
you can easily DIY the "2". the dealer charges $160 for this service alone. pay $40 get your filters and DIY=free.
B is a glorified oil change. now you can have them do the B ($180) or an oil change ($40). the 1 is the tire rotation ($30). again you can DIY if you have the means to do so (free). the 3 is the tranny service ($100-120).
So as you can see...my math already has me significantly UNDER your $663 price quote. the key is to ask for each item the MID has cued you for individually and/or DIY certain things. Most dealers will do a courtesy inspection anyway.
I do this at my dealer when i take my cars in for service. usually they classify the B service as the value B service for oil change (when asked just for an oil change). and then ask for each item individually. i let them provide the parts.

Burning Brakes
A few years ago my friend bought an MDX. I really liked the vehicle. The dealer charged him I think $450 for a 7,500 mile service. Every car I've owned in the last 10 years, that particular service was free to cheap. (Including my Infiniti, where I thought $250 for 15K was too expensive.)
As far as the DIY, I didn't buy a luxury car to do DIY service. I personally stopped DIY in 1989.

Take it to "Joe's" Honda Auto Repair (any decent import repair shop).
DO NOT give the dealer that kind of dough

^^there are no mileage intervals on Acuras these days.
there are obvious DIYs that are simple enough that it takes maybe 5-10 minutes of your time like the cabin and engine air filter...other stuff like tire rotations and oil changes...it's less hassle by letting the dealer do it. you just have to know how to ask for it otherwise they will charge you out the ear. $450 for a 7500 mi service?! that's pretty obscene. $250 is pretty obscene too unless you're having them do a few other things on top of the oil change.
if you have money to burn...more power to you. I'd rather spend my hard earned money wisely. Certain things i'm willing to pay for (as long as it's reasonable and fair), getting ripped off....not so much.

Welcome to the forum! As others have said it is best to do what you can yourself as opposed to paying the dealer. If you don't want to go to that trouble any reliable import mechanic can do them much cheaper. The only thing I take my car to the dealer for at the present time is warranty or recall work and so far have had to do neither on my 10/Tech.

The filters were changed out in all of 5 minutes, which is great. Means I can change out those filters a little more frequently.
I paid almost $400 back in May for service which included the oil change, some other maintenance items, and the service on the drive train (apparently the AWD needs some service at 45k).
The dealership I use now for service (not the one that quoted me) actually performs the inspection service complementary. Regardless, I'll tell them I'm declining any "B" service to ensure I'm not charged.
I'm willing to pay a little extra for high quality service, but I'm still going to be smart about how the money is spent.

I actually like the body style on my model more than the models released the past couple of years. Plus, I checked the price on the Acura website for the cost of leasing a new TL SH AWD Tech with all the accessories my current car has, and it was $300 more than what I currently pay per month.

I don't blame you at all for keeping your current ride. My lease is up in November and if I had to do it today would extend my lease at least 6 more months. Hoping the 5g will be out by then and it will be a "must have" otherwise I'm keeping my 10/tech.
