No Manual tranny in 2011?

It's possible if the take rate was too low. However, I doubt that given Acura was only predicting a five percent take rate on the manual for the entire TL line.
The dealer may just be trying to scare you into getting one right now and not waiting.

Yea, I can't believe that. The amount of development work to just drop it after 1 year is unreal. The 6mt's haven't stayed on the lots near me longer than a week or two.
And the above poster is right, they only made like 5% of all the TL's in 6MT, that's what they expected to sell. Sounds like a possible scare tactic. But who knows, we'll find out in a few months.

2010 TL AWD 6MT: New King
I doubt that rumor is true. Too much R&D when into the 4G TL's manual transmission/design.
However...IF it is true, then our 2010 6MT's resale value gets a big jump, and becomes a more valuable commodity.

Probably a scare tactic. But I mean, if people that wanted a 6mt SHAWD TL, and didn't buy one now.. what makes acura think they'll suddenly buy it next year or the year after? Enthusiasts tend to be early adopters.

Whenever Honda produce a 6-6 version of anything, it is a concession to a niche market of enthusiasts. Since they've made that concession to start with, since the 6MT was designed specifically for the J37 and since all the changes to bushings and motor mounts were made, it would not make sense to stop production unless there were significant changes to the 2011 model that rendered the previous development problematic for inclusion in the new model.

.........yes, it's a great 6M (but I keep hearing the clutch is dogshit (non-progressive take-up, never the same twice, - - - the slave cylinder check valve with a built-in engagement delay may be the reason....................)
