Maybe it is me, but pipeline is usually 45-60 days deep and if they stopped building 11 in January that would tell me by late March new cars have to show up. Maybe Colin can chime in he should be in the know...
If it really is in May I may punt for the year I have a large tag bill to pay in April and will want to dirve he M37 longer if I pay that bill.

Someone asked about the new 6spd auto tranny. THere are some reports of pinging noises in the ZDX and recent MDXs. Many thought it was the engine but some are saying they've been told it's the new 6auto, and honda is aware, but and has no fix and is telling dealers to tell customers 'we;ll call you when we have a fix!'. Apparently some are having pretty loud ping noises at about 2000rpm in gear.
No real mechanical problems, but pingin sounds? yikes, like a 12 year old clunker, not a 40-50+ thou vehicle.

if you are leasing you can do just go to leasetrader or swapalease and try to find someone to take it off your hands. If you own, you'll probably lose 5-6K in depreciation

We will find out soon enough! I would be happy if they bring it out then. I wonder if they will have the aero kit available too.. so many questions... I also wonder about the exhaust tips for the SH-AWD... musings

Forged Silver Metallic with ebony interior AWD Advance with 19 inch wheels. I was ready to go for the Gray, but the new 2011/12 Gray - Graphite Luster is very dark and on an overcast day coudl pass for black. The Car on the video from the Chicago show looks great under the bright quartz lihts, but I saw the 2011 TSX in that color and it is too dark for me.
March 18th is the date I'm hearing and it can't come soon enough. I'm out of 2010's out of AWD 2011's and only have 1 2011 Tech package left.

Been away for a while and just seeing this thread today, I'm extremely disappointed with the new design.
This body style actually looked better with the old grill, which I hated by the way but now it looks even worse in my opinion.
They have a great car and seem to be improving things by adding new features but the just keep screwing up the design, friggin rediculous.
I was hoping to trade in my 2010 MDX for a 2012 TL, no way, I'll stick with the MDX for now....
I'd actually rather have a 2011 if I had to choose, I don't think this is going to help sales to the degree Acura is hoping for, we'll see.

Like others, I think the 2009-11 5-spoke, 18 inch wheels are much nicer than the '12's new 18-inch wheels. But I think the new 17s are a definite improvement, and the hold-over 19s are sweet.
I guess it is just part of Acura's desire to make the car a little less aggressive in its styling.

In the grand scheme of things while looking at the Acura model line up, here is my thinking what should have been done: V-6 the TSX with model refresh as they did, the wagon is alright, create 2 TL versions based off the 3G size, a 2 dr coupe and a 4dr, slot the design of the current as another mid size model between the TL 3G successor and the RL, and rework the RL into a Luxo-cruiser. Also revive the NSX to compete with the GTR's and such. Stir up some excitement...get folks into the dealership.

Keith, make sure you see an actual car in the forged silver before pulling the trigger. It is very much a light blue color, similiar to "meteor silver" and "Glacier Blue" from the 1st gen TSX and 2nd gen RL. It doesn't represent well in the color swatches in a catalog.

I visited a dealer in NYC today and was told that the 2012 won't go on sale until late summer/early fall. I also called a dealer in NJ and was told the same thing. I find that hard to believe, considering Acura showed the car already, it's on the Acura website, and dealers in other parts of the country are saying March 18 (according to you all). I suspect my dealer is just feeding me a line hoping that I will go for a leftover 2010 (2 were on the showroom floor) or a 2011.
