Newbie: Stuck with certified '09 TL/Tech vs 54k '10 TL AWD
Hi Guys,
I'm very new here (1st post). I've been on this forum for the past 1 week and I finally made a decision to buy the 4th Gen TL. Thanks for the great & helpful threads
My Question: I'm on my way to two dealerships
I found 2 certified Acuras
Silver 2009 TL/Tech 15k $26,401
Bronze 2010 TL/SH-AWD "umber leather" 54K $26,700
Which one would you buy/prefer?
Help, I'm totally confused? I have to buy one today.
Thanks

Not to take away from this thread:
but I paid $23k for my '06 TL 6MT with 31k miles in March of '10.
wow!
to think I could have had a SHAWD for a little bit more 2 years later.
and those cars linked are BABIES at 15k miles.

I'd definitely do the lower mileage Silver TL.
If you don't really care about the AWD, it's almost a slam-dunk. I still like AWD, but that's a lot of miles for a 2010.

I have an AWD and never have driven the FWD but have had people tell me they are very distinctively different cars. Drive them both and see which one you like the best. The fact they are both CPO helps but like most of the others here I'd tend to lean toward the one with lower miles. What concerns me more is why you "...have to buy one today". Above all I'd suggest you try not to buy anything under duress...no matter where it's (the duress) coming from. Best of luck!
Well, I guess it's too late if you had to buy one the day you posted. Although I'd lean towards the consensus low mileage option in the thread, it's not necessarily a slam-dunk. It depends (IMO) on a few things:
1. Assuming you like the ride better in the AWD, how much?
2. How many miles/year do you drive? If not many, getting a high-mileage CPO might not be too big of a deal.
3. Don't know where you live, but AWD might make a difference, depending on your climate.
All in all, given only those couple choices, I'd probably still take the low-mileage one, but not by a lot.
