I picked up a 2012 tl tech last month from MOTORCAR ACURA (BEDFORD OHIO ). It is a great car. MPG could be better (24) city, but i am comming from a camry hybrid. It will be checking often. I learn many things from you guys.

 

mpg will get better, make sure to change your oil at 3000 miles..

 

Why change the oil at 3000?

 

Congrats and welcome - enjoy your new ride! PS - don't change your oil until MID tells you to or 1 year passes as per the manual. Acura uses a special break-in oil from the factory so it should be kept in at least that long.

 

I change the oil once the quality gets down to around 15%

How does the TL feel coming from a Camry Hybrid? I ask this because I almost bought a Camry Hybrid before I settled on my Type S. I actually put a downpayment on one and rescinded it after I drove the Type S! It wasn't easy getting my deposit back....

Congrats. But be prepare to visit the gas station more often with your TL than with your Hybrid.

 

The camry hybird is a nice car, it will get you from to A to B . The new ones look much better.- mine was a 2009'. The tl much sharper , faster more toys on it. It is hard to beat the camry's MPG with any car. I think a saved enough gas with the camry to have some fun with the tl.

 

The camry is a vey nice car, it's a shame that here in NYC the camrys are used for livery car service. In other words you look like a private cab driver. Hey puma your car looks hot enjoy it.
