New Guy Intro and 2012 TL Advance
I've been lurking here for a while while shopping for new car. Yesterday I decided on a TL with Advanced package in Silver Moon/Black. So far I'm liking it!
I've discovered a couple of wierd things that may help some newcomers:
1) Apostrophe characters in an iPhone name can cause problems. I just changed from "Mark's iPhone" to "Mark - iPhone" and everthing started working perfectly. Also, after deleting a phone, it seems you need to turn the car off and then back on to get it to register.
2) I was having problems programming Homelink and found out that after resetting the system, program button 1 first rather than button 3 (don't ask
). Once button 1 was programmed, everything worked as expected.

'12 Advanced! Congrats! You are going to love it! What color?
I have a Droid and the TL had no trouble with "Dave's Droid". I am a little surprised that yours has trouble with the iPhone specal character.

Don't know about the special character but as soon as I changed it, everything work perfectly - strange but true.

Silver Moon is a NICE color! I look forward to seeing some pics of your baby.
I bet those advanced rims really go well with that color. I love the wheels but wasn't sure at first since the color os close to a pewter but they have grown on me 100%.

The words in bold I always see alot. I can answer your question. Because Iphone sucks.

Congrts and welcome! Saw the new Silver Moon color at my dealership recently (Miami Acura) and love it with the Ebony combination. I am very happy with my 2010 White Diamond/Ebony first choice but I may have to give the Silver a closer look next time around.

Cool... got mine at Acura of Pembroke Pines. Nice, new, and huge dealership. Going through Zag.com I got $1500 below dealer invoice. I originally wanted WD/Ebony but couldn't find an Advanced with that combo and I really wanted the cooled seats. Anyway, I'll post pics when I'm allowed by the forum rules (I think it's 15 days).
