New on board with Acura
Hi everyone. I just purchased a new silver 2012 TL Elite / Advance this week. Car will be ready this next Monday. Having the windows tinted 30% and having the aero kit installed before I pick it up. I just returned my Genesis 4.6 which I will miss but out with the old and in with the new.
What can I expect with my new TL compared with my Genesis. Is Acura that much superior to hyundai. I really did enjoy my Genny but just got tired of it. Handling was a problem but not speed or comfort.
I will post pictures as soon as I get my new ride.

Welcome to the club. When I bought the 2010 TL Tech I test drove a Genesis and liked it a lot. But the harsh ride on rough roads was a deal breaker. Looking forward to your evaluation.

Welcome, recently bought my 2010 tl tech and love it! Had mixed feelings with the front grill but it is growing.on me. The combination of power, luxury, ride, great sound system and appealing interior and exterior at a good value makes me happy. Got borealis blue with 18 inch wheels. Enjoy!

Will do a comparison between the two once i have had a chance to drive it for a week or so. I do quite a bit of both city and hwy driving. Will post pictures as soon as i can.

not sure if you got SH-AWD or FWD - if you got the AWD, you're in for a treat if you like taking curves at much faster than posted speeds. I'm not sure FWD would be that much different than the Genesis.

PZTL....Congrats on your new TL!! I am confident that you will enjoy the ride (although a bit harsher than your Hyundai) and the interior refinement. I never enjoyed the interior of the Genesis eventhough I do like their exterior styling. Wait until your drive your TL at night, the cluster and dash is just stunning! There are few annoying little things with the TL (few rattles etc) but for the most part, nothing is really seriously wrong with the car. I have had my 2012 for 1.5years now and love this car to death, as with the 2013 RDX! Both are really great vehicles for different reasons. Can't wait to see your pics. Enjoy your new car my friend, you have a winner in your hand

You all have me so excited about my TL. Just can't wait to get it. They are adding the accessories tomorrow and will get to see it on Wednesday. Wondering how reliable are the TL's? I had my Genesis for 4 yrs and over 75 000 miles and never had any problems at all. I am hoping for the same from Acura. Should I be worried as I am reading some posts with problems. I love the look of this car and the test drive sold me on it. Just need to know if I should get the extended warranty just to be safe.

Absolutely love it and obsessed with keeping it looking and smelling new.
I passed on my 2005 tl to my son. I got that car in 2006 and it was a model of reliability. It was one of the reasons I went for another TL.

Went to the dealer and saw my car. They have done all the work and it is ready for pickup up on Monday. Looks awesome!! Pictures will be posted once I have the car. Weather is turning nasty so hope to see the SHAWD work its magic in bad weather. I can tell you my Genesis was hard to drive in the snow.

Hi! I just got a 2012 TL a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I also have the FWD model. The car hugs curves better than the Altima i traded in. i was pretty surprised by the excellent handling of the FWD model. it hasnt snowed since i got it so that will be the next test.

Got my car on Monday and have been driving it for 5 days now. Once I am allowed to post pictures I will.
First impression is the car is very thing I wanted it to be. I have the aero kit, tinted windows and the 19" wheels and combination is a real head turner. For 2012, I think Acura has done a great job on the look of the car especially the new front grill.
The interior is rich and lucurious. Leather seats are very comfortable so far. Lots of buttons but they all have a purpose and do not seem out of place in the car. Radio is loud and clear and easy to use. Navigation is quite good. Overall, I prefer the feel, look and functionality of the TL interior over my last car. ( Hyundai Genesis 4.6 Sedan). Cabin noise is a little more noticable but that what radio's are for. I always have back ground music on when i drive.
The handling is fanastic and 1000% better than my last car. The suspension is what I expected and reminds my of my Infinti FX35. Both where fun to drive but hard on the bumps. Not a problem though. The accleration is very good throw the first few gears and probably faster then my Genesis, however at high speeds, the Genesis would have won. That's ok because we all have speed limits on our roads but not on how fast we get to them. It is going to snow today so i will get my first impression on wet roads. I am sure it will not be like the white knuckle driving of my RWD Genesis. Luckily we had very mild winters up here in Canada over the past several years.
I had a chance to buy the 2013 Accord fully loaded and really was not sure if i had made the right decision. So far I am very happy with my decision.

I have the car 3 weeks strong and man...I must say for my first Japanese car I love it! I'm a big German Engineering enthusiast but I'm very very surprised by how much joy the car brings me. From daily driving to aethstetics its a unique package. As far as Hyundai I chose the TL over the new 2013 Genesis Coupe for overall practically. I drove the new 3.8s and they are a blast but this car will keep me out of trouble and comfortable all the way.

As promised pictures of new 2012 TL
Here are the pictures of my new TL when i picked it up from the dealer last week. I just love this Alabaster Silver Metallic colour. The combination of the silver and black is stunning. In the sunlight the silver just looks awesome. The interior is the light grey. Not sure what it is called but it too is a great combination with the black interior trim.
