New 2014 TL

Just picked up my new 2014 TL today. I was actually dead set on buying a Lexus IS but after driving the TL and seeing the discounts being offered it was a no brainer. All in all, I got around $8000 off the sticker price.

So far I have nothing planned except for applying some Opti Coat and possibly some tint as well.

Anyways, here are some pictures for you all. (Bellanova White Pearl with SH-AWD and Tech Package)

Nice ride. The front end of the 12-14's look so clean and classy while the 09-11's were so aggressive.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

@aIRpeACE I ended up paying $46800 CAD out the door. (I hate that the PDI/Freight for most Canadian cars is around $2000 )

Couldn't stay away from the car so I ended up applying the opti coat yesterday/today. Did the prep work yesterday night and applied opti coat this morning. Its been a few hours since and it seems to be beading water nicely. I followed the instructions and only used a few drops for each panel but it seems like I may have used too little. For the entire car + trim and wheels I only used about 5cc.

I'll let the opti coat set for a few more hours and then I'll take it outside for some shots in the sun

Nice. I saved almost $8000 off my advance last weekend as well. They're really pushing them to make way for the TLX.

Very nice choice!
From your first pics I thought you were from Toronto because I think I recognize your condo garage =P
How much did you in the end?

Very very nice, especially the color! I've had mine for a year and really have nothing to complain about. Love the looks, the size, the performance (when you need it) and the refinement.

Just wanted to ask if anyone here has experienced this. I've started hearing a metallic rattle sound every time I close my rear passenger side door. The sound seems to be coming from the muffler/exhaust tip area but those two things seem to be bolted pretty tightly. The sound gets a little louder/longer the harder I close the door so it seems something is loose down there. My driver's side rear door doesn't cause the sound when closed and so far I haven't heard it when driving either. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Wow, you have a big garage!

Regarding your door rattle, do some searching on this forum.
I believe there have been instances of something loose inside the door itself. The dealer should be able to fix it easily if that's what it is.
BTW, what dealership did you purchase from?

I bought the car from Acura of North Toronto. Overall it was a pleasant experience and the car was delivered free of any major swirl marks/scratches.

It turns out the rattle was actually coming from the right rear exhaust heat shield. One of the bolts was screwed in tightly but the washer was not thick enough to fill the gap between the bolt/heat shield. I added another washer and the rattle was gone
