New 2013 Lexus GS introduced...

I know there is controversy about posting threads to other cars, but I like it when someone provides information about a new model that is a competitor. The 2013 GS was officially introduced yesterday. Here is a link to the forum section that has quite a few threads covering the introduction.

I'm curious as to what folks here think of if. The information leading up to it is significant in that Lexus admitted to some shortcomings of the current generation, and they have made the new one more of a "drivers" car.

Can't wait to see Top Gear put the GS-F and the M5 head to head...still, 90k+ pricetag was initially projected for the V10 beast...

I will have to see one first hand to give a full opinion. The design changes I see don't jump out at me.. not liking the grille design. I guess all these car makers think they need a certain, patented, grille style to set them apart, including Acura with the Disney smile. I am not a fan of the "big open mouth" like the Audis have and I see Lexus moving towards a similar though different shape.

Like I said, I will reserve full judgement for when I see one up close.

I am not feeling it. It looks clustered to me. I am also missing "the straight curve" of the exterior. It looks like a car with ADD. And the LEDs on the front look too much like AUDI, and the lights themselves look like the new Chrysler.

I liked the old one better, even though those LEXI (is that the plural of LEXUS? ) of the GS-Class are too small for me. Especially inside. That's why I bought the TL instead of a G37x.

Just my ... Even though they are worth anything anymore

It's been made pretty clear that it will not have the V10. More likely some version of what is in the IS-F. But they have released no details of the car.

When I saw the first real pics I was VERY disappointed. The high resolution pics showing different angles look a lot better. It may be like the early 4G TL though - somewhat controversial.
