New 2010 SH-AWD 6MT - One Week In
I picked up my SH-AWD 6MT last week after looking seriously at the G37 and thinking about the German cars. I was leaning toward the TL anyway, but no Infiniti dealer in my area seemed very interested in getting me a G37 MT anyway. I purchased my car for what I considered a very decent price. The sales experience was quick, pleasant and trouble-free.
I've put about 150 miles on my TL and have to say I'm blown away at how good this car is. I don't think I've bought a new car that exceeded my (already high) expectations by so much.
The car is solid like a vault and absolutely quiet and smooth (until VTEC time, that is). It shifts and drives beautifully and has that "edge" to it - in turning, accelerating and so on. Beautiful and comfortable interior, awesome audio and terrific technology. The AWD is like nothing I've driven before - the car just sticks like it's on rails on curvies, cloverleafs, etc.
I've had an unusually high number of compliments already on the car. One of my partners phoned me on his way out of the office garage and was fairly babbling about how much he liked the car.
All I can say is if you're on the fence about a new sports sedan, be sure to drive the TL 6MT. I'm hard pressed to see how you can do any better, especially for the price and considering Acura's reliability.
I'm one happy puppy.

Thanks and same to you! I have the CBP; wasn't wild about black interior initially, but now that I have it, I really like it.
How about you?
Like you, can't wait until I get through the break-in period.

Thanks. BTW, love the Mayan Bronze. I was torn between that and the CBP. They had a CBP on the lot that they were willing to deal on, so CBP it was.

When clean w/ no swirls....CBP is drop dead beautiful... I can't wait till April when I can spend some time to polish my car. Some Menzerna should do the trick.
