Need rear Aero Kit for '12+ .. RonJon??

I am sure this won't happen but.. but still, if someone, like RonJon, could see fit to make a better rear kit than the UGLY Acura one.... many of us would be delighted!

PLEASE!!!

Is the '12-'13 rear spoiler kit that bad Stew? LOL. I actually like how it looks unlike most members. To me it completes the look. I have the front and side skirts installed and plan on installing the rear tomorrow. I can't wait to get it on.

To me, it looks slapped on and incomplete.. sort of like shoulder pads. They really should have connected the sides across the back making one piece, somehow. The way they just cut those off looks bad. If I would have known how bad it would look, I'd have went with the mud shield instead

Ever since I first showed the pics on here, the general consensus is that the back part does not look right. It looks worse on white.

I am awaiting the ATLP axle back exhaust kit... I think the new tips will only make the aero kit piece look worse.

Tape on the pieces when you get them and take long looks, maybe photos to help you decide.

It looks a lot worse on certain colours, I have it on my GLM 2012 and I like it for the most part but I will admit that at certain angles it doesn't look all that good. It looks best from behind because it makes the car look beefier.

This I have to agree except I like the side profile more and I also agree it does make the car more look beefier; not that it needs to be.

And Stew, I can see what you mean by the kit not being as complete. Those angles and the lighting are not helping at all but I'm still going to have them on though.

^^^ I agree with you Stew4HD....It looks great from the side but then you walk behind and you are like "What the F' happened here?!?" I saw one at the the dealership a few weeks ago (white) and I do not regret not having opted out of the rear piece.

If there is anything I can do to try and get RonJon to develop another rear piece for the 2012+ model, let me know. I feel bad that you aren't happy with your rear piece but you also saved me from making a mistake so I owe you for that one

Another issue with the kit on a white TL is I've never seen an actual paint match properly with the white kits.

I'm glad I saved you! I know it's just a dream that one will be made for it. I will just have to live with or remove it and probably have to replace the bumper.

That goes for other pieces on the car as well. The trim piece on the nose that surrounds the grille is a bit off color compared to the rest of the car

I like my rear kit alot from the sides, from the back.......I really don't mind it. Acura could and should have done better tho.

Hopefully Acura will do better with the bodykit on the TLX provided they decide to make one for it....

I have a rear black one if someone wants to buy it. Lol

For the white TL there seems to be an issue matching the other differing materials as well. Oddly enough a dealer pointed it out to me when I was trying to decide between a black and a white then all I could see was the difference in color at that point.

Thanks to your pics I decided not to get the rear pieces for my car. I was also fortunate enough that my tl came with the mudflaps for free.
I think that the rear pieces would look better if it didn't rose so high up on the rear bumper or it wrap around the bumper like the front pieces.

Finally got the last piece of the kit installed. The rear lip kit completes the car IMO and to me it looks fantastic. Especially with a nice drop. Couple pix...

^ I am glad you like yours. I love the side view but that back....

I am considering looking into having the pieces removed on mine and either patchign the holes or replacing the bumper.

Shipping would be a pain but we can work something out. Also have the rear mud guards too. Same color!

Prolly around $100 give or take. I know a friend who has a UPS business shipping account. Shipping will be included for the total price.

Damn...that's gnarly. It seems weird that this rear kit has so much more empty space than on the 09-11s. Makes the reflectors seem really randomly placed. I think the front looks cool though

The placement of the reflectors and the license plate holder makes it hard to do anything back there. I have some ideas on how it could be done but lack the skills in body working to pull it off.

I have watched Chip Foose do it with a clay added to the body to build out the shape he wanted to make parts when he did that special Mustang. he's way out of my league though.

I was not a fan if the 12 rear lip so I went with the rear splash guard, But once I add the 20'' wheels and drop the car little I feel the rear lip was missing. I really don't think it look bad on a silver car

TY OP! I will not be buying the rear kit. Does anyone have pics of a white 2012 or 13 with all except the rear lip? Thanks in advance!

You will find a few guys with the mud flaps instead of the back pieces
