It looks like a tire weight......if it is a tire weight its not from your car, as the vehicle uses inside sticky weights. If I'm correct there should be a lip that would go around the rim on the metal picture

its a wheel weight for balancing.

There may be a clean spot on the inside of your wheel if it fell off but is likely you have stick on weights.

^^^ They are just shitting with you It is a tire weight that likely came from another car that was in your driveway. Nothing to worry about whatsoever....unless someone is visiting someone in the household

oh man , you guys are bad , i was getting worried

The other concern is i did notice some oil in the driveway . it was raining so not sure whether it was oil or something else and it was few yards away from this metal piece on my driveway.

Hence the question.

Many people with good sense of humour here (myself included) but deep down, we are a good bunch people willing to help. As far as oil in the driveway, again, that could be someone visiting your place and leaving some drip. Best way to determine if its from your car is place a piece of cardboard on a non windy night and check the next morning...

LOL am relieved there is nothing to worry and good sense of humour indeed.

It could be from the landscaping guy who came today to do weed control

Don't worry. It's a wheel weight left behind by someone else vehicle.

As long as it wasn't in a pool of turn signal fluid, you're safe.

You may have both types of weights on your wheels. It would be apparent on the lip of the rim (possibly inside lip) where a wheel had recently come loose. You'd also probably get a "Wah Wah Wah" kind of vibration at speed from the wheel in quesiton.

It's probably just an IRL troll to be quite frank. I do shit like this all the time... find some odd looking scrap of metal so I leave it near someone's car so they'll think something is broken.

In highschool I'd destroy the HELL out of keyboard, drag it through mud, bust out keys, and then hide the school's real keyboard behind the tower and put my busted up one out front like someone had annihilated theirs =)

Also used to give my 10 yr old brother mice to throw in the urinals -- never failed, school always thought it was theirs!

Okay best IRL troll I have ... you guys are gonna eat this shit up:

Got some underwear that is just about on its last legs? So wear it ~3 days to make sure it looks dirty... Then when you are in the bar with a bunch of friends, let it slip down the inside of your pant leg (so no one will notice) and fall out conveniently underneath the table of some nearby girls... (obviously you are wearing a DIFFERENT pair if i need to point that out)

Then sit down at the adjacent table, nonchalant, obviously.

Wait about 10 minutes so there is no chance of getting the blame, then tap on the hottest girl's shoulder and say: "oh, hey, did one of you drop something?" Hopefully your bar of choice is so dimly lit that they won't recognize the object until one of them picks it up...

Some facial expressions money can't buy, ... priceless. But for this one, you just need dirty underwear

Having just come back from Disneyland, I can tell you first hand...Ariel is way hotter in person.

Two words...both of them "hubba".
