MPG for 2012 TL SH AWD

It all depends on how you drive the car, what traffic and terrain you drive in, etc.
My AWD (6MT) is sitting right at 25.7 right now. My driving is about half highway, half suburban/urban. On pure freeway jaunts, 28-29 mpg is attainable.
I didn't buy the car for MPG, but I'm pleasantly surprised it does this well.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the gas mileage of my 2012 TL SH-AWD.
I drive mostly in local and suburban areas, and I am getting on average about 23.5 mpg. On almost all freeway trips, I get about 28mpg.
Considering that it's a 3.7L V6 AWD vehicle, I am pretty happy about that, and it's really not much worse than the TSX!!! :-)

The best I have gotten in mine is 29.2 (all freeway from Chattanooga to Nashville and back) and the lowest has been 20.4. My overall average almost 12000 miles is 22.7. I can post all the numbers if anyone is interested.

My 2012 TL/SH AWD, gets GREAT highway mileage; (30MPG, or better)
LOUSY pure NYC, stop & go; (16-18 MPG)
Hess 93/octane
BTW: 55MPH is a joke; at 75MPH, the car gets 30 MPG, in cruise control
I know this 'cause you can manually check it, with the steering wheel switch

Normally, i don't really care about fuel consumption on my cars, but the gas price is getting very expensive here in BC, Canada. On my ex-car rx350, I got 13.8L/100km and with the awd tl, I get 12.2L/100km, so I don't really complain too much now.

That is about what I get, but I came from a V8 pickup so I am used to getting hosed. If I am lucky and I take the ride on the freeway I can get up to 23mpg. I just dont see how anyone is getting better than that on this model?

I like to push the pedal a bit. Got approx 800-900miles on the AWD currently. Avg 26-30min trip to work in a 45mph speed limit all the way w/ multiple traffic lights. I avg 18.5-19.5 mpg so far. No highway comparison yet.
Had traded my '12 TL for '12 AWD. Only averaged 19.5-20.5 on the same commute w/ the non awd.

Lifetime average on the car is 23.5 mpg. Most of my driving is between 70% highway/30% city. I get 22.5 mpg for regular use and the few pure highway trips have given me as high as 26-27 mpg. So, I guess my mileage is average among those reported here....

My 2010 6MT is averaging 23.9 over about 1,600 miles of ownership (mostly freeway from MN to LA). I'm getting 20mpg in town over the last few weeks. I suspect my overall would be higher if my foot were lighter on the freeway trip!

My wife driver our too work on surface streets in the Houston suburbs with a lot of lights and gets about 18.5 every tankful. I would probably get about 20 in it if it was me driving the same streets based upon experience with how I drive versus her. I've seen over 30 on the freeway going across town, but realistically high 20s in highway driving would be normal.

Coming from the TSX its a HUGE HIT no matter what anyone says. TSX cruising on the highway 50 miels a day was giving me at least 32 mpg with regular gas. Now im getting 24 with super gas...40-50 cents per gallon difference and burning extra gallon per day of commuting...adds up
