Modding is addicting
I haven't had this car for two weeks and so far I have paid the car off, purchased 2 alpine amps and a cleansweep from big10purdue, had nexson paint a grille and trim piece for me (will be in tomorrow), and I just ordered a roof spoiler from dlstew2.....oh well I can't stand having a car that looks like every other car on the road and I love my music! Now I have to get a sub or subs and components...dang this is getting expensive
I know I'm not the only one with this problem....@ Matt's Acura

vivmike has two to three times more expensive audio gear in his car than what an Alpine setup would run and he likes to make it known how much he spends - I wouldn't pay much attention to him.

Haha yea man, its definitely an addiction. I was looking at different cars since there isn't much else to do to mine and my wife basically told me she would dick punch me if I sold my car and started all over again. So....looks like I will be sticking with my TL for atleast another year.

Hahahahaha @ dick punch. I understand where she is coming from. My 2005 King Ranch F150 I had blue booked for $19,000 + I literally had over $10,000 in mods done to it...and I ended up selling it for $17,000. Mods are great and make your car so much more fun...but you never get out what you put in. So I totally understand the dick smack. What do you do for a living Matt? Ever come to Destin?

Yeah, I understand the mod fever. I have already started modding my car. I lowered it, waiting on the arrival of a set of Vossen SV1 wheels and Michelin Super Sports. I am going to add an OEM (from the Japanese version) fog light kit (yeah, the F-Sport does not come with fog lights as an option.. shockingly enough), OEM lighted door sills.. various other goodies.
Addiction, for sure

Ok guys here are the pics from the grille install. Ended up doing it myself because of the rain. I left the rear trim for the guys tomorrow since they have to take off the rear bumper to paint the tail lights anyway.

^^^^ Thanks! And actually I was checking out your car yesterday! I freaking love it and the color is amazing. Getting more done tomorrow and I don't even have the temp tag off yet lol.

Modding is definitely addicting..and can be dangerous. Don't fall into debt and keep up the great work. Most of my focus had been on my S2000, but now that I'm selling it, that attention will all fall on the TL. Plans are in the works for sure!

Thanks everyone. Wouldn't have done any of it without this site. Such a great resource. And thanks Stew for the roof spoiler. I love it. Such a subtle touch but yet I feel like it adds so much. As for the grille and the trim. That is my first recommended mod to anyone! I hate that the wheels, tires, and suspension will be my last mod, but at 3+ grand I'm gonna have to hold off for a few months

It's looking great Noles! Quick (noob) question for you. Did you paint your grille and rear trim or did you have someone else do it? I really think I want to do the same thing to mine and I'm looking for some ideas on how people have done that.

The one mod I still want to have is my FSU tag on it lol. Damn you DMV!

I have the easiest and by far best solution for you. Do what I did and contact Nexson. He is in this thread if you look for him. He will start working on the grille for you for a depoist. Once the grille is completed, you will pay it off and he ships immediately. The reason you want him to do it is because of how he preps it. It matches beautifully to the paint and it's easy to install. He will even send you instructions.

The tips look great! Nice alternative to the corsa clone ones I have.
I think the welded them on backwards though man... The short one should be on the outside and the long one on the inside. Notice below how my tips line up

aftermarket tips only look good with the rear lip added on to it..
otherwise it will just look like the exhaust doesn't belong there.
oh and yes.. he did weld them on backwards.... BUAHHAHAHAHHA
you would think he would have figured it out when he stepped back to look at it..

Ahh ok, looking back at the flow master tips I see that they are not staggerd. Must have been the angel of the photo... Either way like I said I think they look good. I'm sure you plan on getting the full kit at some point anyways. When you do get it those tips will look even better!
