I remember seeing a newsletter for Acura service tech's to watch out for this. The symptom is a faint whistling noise going over a certain MPH which I'm hearing on the highway. The letter said to check for 3 missing rubber grommets near the front windshield on the outside.

Anyone know about this or could it be the infamous propeller shaft? I can't find the letter...

 

its your chrome trim molding.. air is getting in between it making a sound.. atleast that was my issue

 

Is it an old trim that you replaced or is that just a design flaw? Thanks

 

mine has actually broken. There was no symptoms before so I couldnt take any preventive measure. Dealer is asking $180 to replace the rubber

can this be done DIY ?

Has anyone bought these grommets and installed them? I've looked for the holes but don't see anything under the hood. I'm getting this exact wind noise.

 

 

I am, my TL is FWD. The sound is at the base of the windshield on the passenger side.
