I am asking about the car 91lgdnsdn posted above. That looks great. What years were those built?

Dass,

I know you got a rlx and saw the photos. I am contemplating a 4g tl 6 mt vs rlx? Any thoughts since you have owned both vehicles.

Sorry missed your question. I was active on the BMER forums and my experience was not atypical. I had to fix oil leaks at the heads, leaks at the transmission a fuel pump and several other repairs. All before the car had 40k miles on it.

Thing is that this was a lease return with 25k miles on it when I bought it. Clean, clean and well cared for. The BMW is simply a money pit. I'm not going back, love the Acure

I can not speak to the RLX but if you're a sporting type person, you'll love driving the 6MT. If on the other hand you just want the drive and bit more luxury I would go with the RLX. Good luck finding a 4g tl 6 mt though, they are pretty rare, especially after 2012 (UA9).

helloooooooooooooo where are you my beautiful car? I've had a 2015 Subaru legacy and things have never been the same since I left you in a parking lot : (. The Legacy I have now I've had nothing but problems with, my wife crashed it, and major mechanical breakdowns have put the legacy in the shop for the past 2 weeks, first it was the rear differential, then the rear axle broke, now the car has a viscous couple or or some shit that needs to be inspected by Subaru and then possibly will be fixed? I hate Subaru. ACURA BABY ILL BE BACK I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW YOUR IN GEORGIA ENJOYING THE WEATHER BUT I WILL MEET YOUR NEXT OF KIN BELIEVE DAT!

I've noticed that more people check out my 2012 TL in 2015 than they did in 2012, I think people have warmed up to the "beak". Probably helps that I have some visual mods but still it's funny it gets more attention now than it did new.

OP what drove you to get the subie? I was looking at possibly checking them out for my next car but your post isn't selling me on that.

The Subaru was 4 cylinder and took regular gas, it had all wheel drive and nav + sunroof for 26k minus the leather and HIDs it was a pretty good deal cuz gas was going through the roof, I financed vs leased for 100$ less a month, for 6 years tho so I dunno its a wash I guess cuz I'm definitely trading it in a year or two from now.

The oil consumption issue is a tough call - it appears that it effects those with manual transmissions more than automatics, and I think the majority of owners don't have a problem. My '12 SH-AWD with automagic trans doesn't have any issues with disappearing oil. I just follow the MID for all maintenance, and I don't drive her like I stole it. I use Mobil1 oil and filters. I've heard in some cases owners have switched back to conventional oil, and the problem vanishes. YMMV. Sounds like you hate your car, so do yourself a favor and get out of it, even if it isn't back to a TL, get something you enjoy - life is short!
