I took the plunge and purchased the FWD Tech model today. Wow, I am impressed.

So far, I only have one question. I cannot figure out how to fold the outside mirrors in. If I don't I will never get the car into the garage.

Well based on that you'll be getting in and out of your car a lot. The TL is not an automatic folding mirror, the glass only tilts on one side, based on how you have the mirror adjustment switch, when you back up.

 

open window, stick hand around mirror, pull firmly

 

Assuming he doesn't need to do the passenger side as well

 

Anyone know if there's any way to have both mirrors tilt down when you go into reverse? As far as I can tell only the side mirror that has the control detented towards it will tilt down.

 

That's how it works unfortunately, if the mirror selector is on the left, the left mirror will pan down, and vice-versa. It was the same in my 3G.
