Maintenence

My oil life reads at 40% and pretty soon i will be asked to do 30K maintenence , dont know the code but question is it fine to do after i come back from a road trip of 1K in next couple of weeks, what if the MM system comes on in between my road trip, can i continue driving without any issues.

Yeah, you can drive until the MM says 0% if you'd like. The MM is pretty conservative. No harm done even if this comes on while 5 miles into the road trip.

I know the feeling. Had this happen on a rental in the middle of nowhere earlier this year.

you're at 40% oil life...you have at least another 1500 mi or so BEFORE it even cues you for service. you're fine. by the time you get back you might get to 30% depending how long you've been at 40%. there are no mileage intervals. just let the MID bother you at 15% to tell you when your car is ready for service.

short answer: you're fine for your trip.

I do not own a TL. With my 06 tsx it has gone below 0%. We were on a cross country roadtrip. Had the car serviced after we arrived home. Had it serviced before the trip but it was a almost 9,000 mile trip. Car runs excellent (knock on wood)

according to an acura service employee,even when oil life is at 0% ,you still have a good amount of oil life left.He said they do that as a precaution so people dont damage the vehicle.
