just had me torque converter replaced... should I add lubegard?

if so, what's the best way to add it? do I need to drain the transmission fluid to add lubegard? Or can I just top it off with the lubegard?

thanks for the help.

Here's the application chart:
http://www.lubegard.com/pdfs/2010_LUBEGARD_CC_FINAL.pdf

It says up top to use 1oz of fluid per 1 quart of transmission fluid. Ours hold 9 quarts if I'm right so you would need to use 9 oz. You might have too much fluid in the transmission and it might require you to drain some. When's the last time the fluid was replaced? I hope it was done with the new torque converter but sometimes dealerships don't do it so check the invoices and the color of the fluid. Acura DW-1 should be pinkish in color.

looks like they replaced the transmission fluid during the TC replacement.

so what's the best way to go about handling this? how would you drain "just a little"?

Get a measuring cup and put it under the drain bolt. Unscrew the drain bolt just enough so some fluid starts to drip. As soon as you drain as much as you want to tighten it back on.

Why bother with this lubeguard stuff? I would just do 3x3 drain and fill with a fully synthetic high quality ATF such as redline D4:
