Looking to trade my '07 TL Type S for a '12

Like the title say I'm looking to trade my 3G TL for a 4G. I have my eyes set on this '12 TL Tech http://www.eliteacura.com/used/Acura...086b05a8a8.htm . It's on the lot at 33,985, realistcally what price would be a fair number to try and negotiate to? This dealer has a ton of 4G's on their lot so I figure they should be eager to move one. I had originally went there and looked at a 09 TL SH-AWD Tech. However, I like the look of the '12 better and believe I can do without the AWD. Thanks for any help in advance

Hell if I were you id hold off a few month to see the new 2013 TL. At least until you see pix released.

I'm not looking to buy brand new... I'm actually trying to stay around the 30K mark. And based on how Acura usually does I don't see a big change from the 12 version.

The 2013 TL's should look identical to the 2012's.

But the 2014 TL (5G) will be completely new.

I think you can get a new car at that price(combining the loyalty incentive and mfr to dealer incentive). I bought my 2012 AWD Tech for 36,900 last week and Mihink bought his 2012 AWD Tech for 36,500 at Pohanka Acura in VA. If you can make the drive, you will get a new one for much cheaper.

Also, it looks like the car was used as a loaner car.

there's a $1500 dealer cash + $1000 loyalty rebate right now. Also 1.9% financing for 60 months. You should get a new one.

Keep in mind OP Acura loyalty $1000 rebate only applies to new vehicles only.

I agree with the other posters. For the price they quoted you on the used one you can get a new one if you deal tough enough. Check truecar.com for best price in your area.

truecar's price is not good anymore.

Check other people's thread for price info:
https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/prices-paid-852918/
https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/good-price-853989/
...

at this time of the year, the most you should pay is INVOICE minus ($1500 dealer cash + $1000 loyalty/or conquest incentive)

I bet you can go 500-700 lower than that, or have them throw in tint, floor mats... for free.

Best of luck, Blue. You can probably sell your Type S on the Black Market here on Acurazine.

I held off for a bit but I'm back out looking again. I got a quote of 37,685 for a SH-AWD and 33,974 for FWD Tech. I'm undecided if the SH-AWD is really necessary, but other than that how do these prices look? This without even stepping foot in the office, do you guys think I can do better by going in and negotiating?

I was previous owner of 2002 TL type S, 2007 TL type S and now owe 2011 SH-AWD 6MT, this is the best car I ever drove so far (except 2011 Audi S4)

I would really recommend you to switch to 2011+. You won't regret!!!

Sorry for not be more clear. I am focusing on new due to the incentives and low interest rate. I am just wondering how do the numbers sound? Thx

Pohanka is jacking people. I just bought my '12 advance for 38k from radley with lifetime inspection and 4 years oil change.

Edit: Was that 38K out the door?

it was 39k and change OTD. Tax rate here is pretty low. 3.17% for autos
