Looking for some input on buying decision

Ok I've been thinking a lot about buying another Acura lately. At first I was looking at 2013-2014 SH-awd models. Then the TLX was introduced and now pushed back until August. Inventory on the 14's are going pretty fast it seems. I have come across several used 14's anywhere from $33k to 36k. I just don't know what to do. Should I wait till August to see if the TLX is all what it is hyped up to be then find a used 14' if it's not appealing, or should I go ahead and find a used 2014? Awd is a must. There is hardly any snow here in the south but after several test drives the fwd and awd is night and day in comparisons. What do you guys think?

I actually test drove the Infiniti q50 last weekend and was not impressed. The Infiniti salesman said that their competitor was the Lexus gs350. I went to test drive the Lexus. That car was 100% better than the infinity but still not worth the extra 20k compared to the TL. Every GS they had on the lot was F Sports that were 60k. I have had two TL's in the past. They were 06' and 07' type s models. I love the redesign of the 13's and 14's.

There's no need to buy a used '14 TL for 33-36 when new have dealer cash back of $3750 and they're starting under invoice. 0.9 and 1.9 financing are also options. I picked up a 2014 SH-AWD Advance for $39k (they ate the $895 destination). I was a previous owner of a 2012 SH-AWD and moved to Lexus... wound up back in an Acura 9 months later. There are some GREAT deals out there.

I was looking at the Acura dealership memorial weekend. They only had two SH-awd models in stock. Everything else was twelve fwd techs. The salesman was saying that with the TLX being pushed back that it was going to hurt the dealerships for a couple of months. The only thing helping acura right now is the MDX. That's the only reason I started looking at used models because of the shortage inventory.

What exactly are you looking for? Something obscure? I did all my negotiating via email, paid my down payment over the phone and walked in to sign the paperwork. I'm sure you can do something similar if there isn't a car local to NC.

I just had to update my city to Greenville, SC. I found two 14' SH-awd TL's but they are in VA. I've never bought a car out of state so I'm debating that as well. I actually just looked at some pics of the TLX and decided I might as well by a 14. The TLX looks a lot smaller to me. I'm looking at either White or Silver nothing too special.

We just bought a TL with FWD and Tech in Raleigh/Cary, NC. I just looked and they have 6 TL with SH-AWD -- 3 with Tech and 3 with Advanced, and 5 of the 6 are white or silver. I did not look just now, but a few days ago they had some in Fayetteville, NC and I bet they have some in Charlotte, NC (both of which are fairly close to SC).

I contacted 3 different dealers across FL who had 2014 AWD techs. I did all negotiation over email and found a car at a dealer that was over 100 miles away. Drove up last saturday gave them the cashier check for the down and signed papers. In and out in 2 hours. Try to go everything on email and get all the details.

When I lived in Charlotte the biggest Acura dealers were Hendrick Acura and the one you bought yours at in Raleigh. Hendrick Acura in Charlotte is the dealership I was at a few weeks back. I bought both Acuras I had from them and they always took care of me. I actually got in touch with their internet salesman last night. He is going to look at other dealerships in their network for me. The Acura dealership here in Greenville doesn't seem to have many left either.

Thanks dnd2984. This seems like the way to go now. Save time then actually going to all these dealerships. Most try to intimidate you anyways.
