MoeTee, I would start with TrueCar.com to get an idea on pricing. Test drive the car you are interested in. I think after a good test drive you will be sold. Not having leased, I'm not sure how easy or cost effective it is to get out of a ease and into a purchase. Might be best to choose your purchase option on the front end.

I like this one!

Why would you lease a 2011 though?

I never buy the first year production of a new model year design change. So I would go for a 2010 or 2011. Preferably the 2011. I'm also not a fan of the 2012 either.

Blah on the color on that 2010. How boring, your car and the on ramp to the freeway will be the same color.

Ok guys, I found a few 2009-2011 Acura TL's Tech SH-AWD Polished/Grigio Metallic pre-certified cars, I am leasing to test myself if I want to keep it or no after the lease is up...

So please, what is a reasonably amount to pay a down payment and monthly lease and what are bullshit fee's and charges?

I was going on the Bronx River Express Way in NY and I pulled over a physician on his 2010 Acura TL AWD Gray and he paid 3,000k down with a 400monthly payment...so what are your guys advices??? I am going to tomorrow!!!

Please replyyy

That's good, because now you'll have a lot more cars to choose from.

Take it easy, man. You are being too sensitive.

I'm basically telling you the reality. You said you wanted a 4G TL, which include MY's '09, '10, '11, and '12.

Since '09 TL had stopped production 2 years ago, it is virtually impossible to find one brand new. Same with the '10 cars which stopped a year ago.

For the '11 cars, it was a short production run, lasted only for a 6-month duration. You may be able to find a few leftovers in dealerships, but the trim and color choices for those new ones will be very limited.

But for the current '12 cars, everyone of them is brand new.

Thus, if you can settle with used 4G's, you'll have a lot more pre-owned '09, '10, and '11 to choose from.

This is the fact, no sarcasm whatsoever.

Ok I went to Paragon Acura in Woodside Queens. The guy I was with was a arrogant, cocky guy.

I walked in the lot, we test drove the 2012 Acura TL..it was beautiful inside but I wasn't attracted on the outside. I didn't like how everything was minimized as oppose to grill and the back design. The speed was amazing, but I am sure the 2009-11 speed is close to it. Then we went to the lot I found a 2009 SH-AWD "Grey" (labeled couldn't determine if it were a Grigio or Polished I have a video if you guys want) with Tech Package. (Pr-Certified) with 45l miles. price was 29k.

But I was looking for the 2010 and 2011 and it wasn't there. Even though they said they had it, i dont know.

We got to play with numbers and he was so persistent for us to go for the 2012 model. But I didn't. I wanted a quote on the 09' and he didn't give me a quote until I said I'll leave and he explained how the residual value dropped (obviously) and his plain statement was it didn't mean any sense and wanted us to lease the 2012. So, he said "we dont lease pre owned." I said so why did Sasha say leasing is available and leasing is available on the invoice/sticker on the car outside?

Then he huffed and puffed and said to his other salesman " Go ask sasha if we can lease him the 09`" I said "Sasha is a secretary, what are you saying?" And ignored me and got me a quote 5minutes later.

The quote was 5,000 down with 800 monthly payment with a payout of I think 14k at the end of the lease.

So I told him in other words to go fuck himself, after asking advice from my cousin if that quote is legit.

He said since the value dropped the payment rises, which is bullshit.

So he said propose a offer and we will see if you get approved on your credit, I left and going to bring my co signer. So since he is going to propose an offer, I am going to ask for 4k down and 300 monthly payment as a lease.

Reason to be is, I was on the highway and asked a guy with a 2010 AWD TL, and he paid 3k with a 400 monthly payment.

I am going to look for the 2010 and 2011 Acura TL Grigio or Polished to determine which model I want after I seen the 09`.

So what do you guys think?

i still have no idea what the hell your trying to do.. you can pay $2,500 down and $379/month to lease a brand new 12 TL. add like $15/month for the tech package; or you can probably negotiate that same price $379/month for the tech package one... why the hell would you pay more for a use car with 45K miles?? i really dont understand your goal here...

just to help you out here; in general you only buy used cars; you dont lease them.. some may do it; but it's not a good idea; as the salesman tried to tell you

because your going to pay more to drive a used car than to drive a new one! your goal; if your successful is to put $3K down and pay $400/month. i'm telling you right now you can walk into any acura dealership and without negotiating anything you can walk out paying $2500 down and $379/month for a base TL. if your a little bit good at negotiating you can get that price for a TL w/tech or if not; get it up to $400/month for the TL w/tech. this is for a brand new car that will be under warranty for the duration of the lease with 0 miles. i dont understand why you want to pay more to lease a used car

1) Why would I pay more for a used car than a new car? Why specifically? The car I desire is a 2009-2011 which are years old thus reducing the value and plus the car is around 27-29k. So why the hell is he giving me a 800 month payment?

2) My reason for leasing is to determine if my intentions to keep the car will remain after the lease, if I feel I don’t like the car and I lose interest I will lease over to the 2012` if I want it, I will buy it with the difference from what I paid on the monthly payments and down payment.

I understand what your saying man ofcourse I can get that price for the 2012 TL, but I don’t like the 2012 TL’s body design. I prefer the physical appearance of the 2009-2011 designs, wider, bigger grill.

I hope I don't seem to mean or ignorant brotha, I am just seeking answering, if I come out mean or angry I am deeply sorry.

Hope I can help you a little bit in getting the car you want.

Get information on all dealers around you, doesn't matter if people in here like it or not, just get their emails. Now email them all, tell them what you want, stated that you know 2012 is going for 2.5k down. 379/mo, you are looking for a lease on 2009 - 2011, and wait for their answer.
From there find out which dealer have the car you want, talk to them on the phone, ask briefly about pricing, detail of the car, mileage etc... When you're ready, go to the dealer that has the car you want and negotiate the price.
I buy or help my family members buy new car every year. Usually internet manager is easier to deal with and offer more competitive price compared to normal sale man.
Contact them by emails first will save you a lot of time.
