I just joined the forum tonight and have read some really useful posts regarding the TL. I was wondering if anyone recently leased a SHAWD w Tech for 36 months 12K a year and what kind of monthly payments are out there. Ideally I would like a 24 month lease, however they are much too high. Does anyone know if the leases will get better? The best price so far I got was 1500 down 588 inc tax (NJ) for 36 months. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

39 months is the sweet spot will save ayou a bit more per month. I know PetesTL and I lease, not sure what his terms are, but I did only first month up front (and some $300 TN taxes) and bought 20K miles a year for $699 month for 39 months, at $0.20 mile that costs me $133 a month for the extra 8K mileage, so on 12K that would be roughly $565 a month. Not sure what AWD inventory is like up there, but down here in GA they are rare, less than a dozen in the state and there are no more being built until soemtime in March meaning no more for dealers until April. I had to get mine form a dealer 250 miles away. Also they knocked more money off the day I leased because it was 1/31 and they were hurting. So based on my numbers I would say you are not getting a great deal. I still think I paid too much, but being the AWD is a rare item beggers can't be choosers down here unless you are real flexible with color combinations.

 

Thank you Keith for the info. There is one dealer here in NJ that seems to have a decent amount of SH-AWDs w Tech. I am kinda torn as what to do. Currently have a 08 CTS4 which I like, but I bought it. Regretting that I bought it and didnt lease given how the economy is and I like to get in and out of cars every couple years. I actually have a buyer and could actually be ahead of the game. Figured it I lease, I wouldnt have the hassles of the whole trade in and stuff.

 

That is why I leased this time, I usually buy and sell frequently, but with economy the way it is selling was much harder this last time. Shop around and don't be afraid to travel to get the car, play dealers off each other and rememebr as the end of month approaches they get hunrgy especially since last 2 months dealers are far from making their numbers.

 

This is like the 5th thread on a new TL consideration? Jeez, people don't do searches on forums anymore do they? I see it's Johnny's 2nd post but a mod should of pointed him to a already open thread and closed this one.
