Looking at FWD TL Tonight - What Should I Look for
Going to look at a FWD TL tonight. Is there anything that I should be on the lookout for?
Seems like the FWD is pretty sound. Any common issues I should look for? etc?
Ill listen for rattles. What else?

The FWD is pretty much bullet proof. Sounds like you were already aware of the rattle situation. Turn the bass up on the stereo, to see if there is a subwoofer rattle.
Other than that, just check the same basics you would on any car: CarFax, brakes, tires. Does the steering wheel pull? Any vibration in the wheels or driveline?

I agree with the fwd being bullet proof. I've had my TL FWD for over two years now and besides regular oil changes, brakes, and replacing those turanza stock tires, the car is tight and reliable. 64,000miles

I have 20K miles on my 2012 FWD...the car is nearly perfect. What I would look for is the breaks, my breaks have been squeeling a bit, my built in garage door opener didn't work when I bought it new and the leather seats have been an issue for some. Otherwise -enjoy!

Great car no major issues i would say things to look for before you buy
1. the turn indicator switch(controls lights, signals hi/beams).
// this has an issue wear when signalling it does not stay in place unless you hold it.. luckily i was still under warranty and the dealer change it at no cost. if you feel that you have that is turns off or wont stay in place you need to change.
2. the courtesy door lights underneath the front passenger and driver door.
// make sure they are working before you buy open the door and see i have problems with mine one was working fine the other - when i decided to change the bulb they both went dead the bulbs and fuses were fine it turns out to be something more electrical than i anticipated my warranty expired so they wanted $122.00 to diagnose i said nah chill i think ill wait.
3. check for interior rattle
// the center of the interior above the navi sometimes have mild vibration when going over bumps on the road so look out for this.
4. sunroof rattle.
// the sunroof might some rattling as well i read on some thread that they have to take the car is so they can service the sunroof to stop it from rattling.
5. Exhaust.
//if your not too anal you can check to make sure that the exhausts are both on the same level one should not be hanging too low or not centered with the cut out of the bumper.
think that is pretty much it the biggest thing for me is that the miles are getting higher and higher everyday im currently at 62k but i love drivg it thats why it cant stay young forever smh they grow up so fast.
Rub your hand around the curbs of the car though it might have a clean car fax you can check to see where and if the car was hit and not reported the finish in paint job will or might be different (Off topic).
that happened to mine clean car fax but the clear coat in a small section was rough not smoothed as the rest of the car.
Pls pls Pls do a thorough check on the tires they sell it with because the tires avg $500-$1000 stock it puts you back when you buy a car though used then having to invest in tires in a short period or even being sold with bad tires
