Lease is up

My 09 TL tech is lease up in April and I don't know what to get next?
I don't like the 2012 TL that much is too plain,
09-11 looks more sport and aggressive comparing to new one
looked into bmw, benz and audi toomuch comparing to what I pay

Any ideas

I have no idea since you find the elegantly aggressive '12 too plain... To me, it's still far more aggressive looking than anything in it's class.

Don't get me wrong when it comes to that yes, but they compare the car to a wrong class also for that big body
but the body kit is ugly in my opinion
the back bumper is plain and they eliminate quad exhausts
looks more for older people that's my opinion

Maybe look into infiniti

If your an Acura guy you're kind of stuck unless you go to a different model. MDX? TSX?

I agree about BMW value/price, however the 335 can't be touched in terms of performance. That's the basic I decided not to get the BMW, I wanted all of the goodies in the mid-40s.

Im in the same situation as you, Im going to upgrade to a Certified AWD. Its like upgrading to a better vehicle with AWD,Tech. You get more power and better handling.

I put the question mark to buy it off also but I like to be in a new car also so I will see how it works

I am on a same page u are bang for the buck and goodies like mid 40s
I looked into zdx they have 499 tech package and mdx? Tsx I want 6cyl then mind well stick with tl and tl is bigger

What do u guys think If I get TL 12 shwd with tech package and the max 5k down out of pocket can I be in 500 and lower a month on payment to lease 36 months or up to 42 with maybe 15k a year mileage

How about another '09-'11 TL Tech, if you really don't like the refreshed '12 exterior styling ?

I do and don't like the 12 TL but just cuz it is a Acura I like the car I had 2nd 3g and now 4g never had problems with them so reliable and best for the money and goodies.

Then I mind as well keep my if I was gone go agin for 09 -11 model, mine is garage kept, never been in snow, in showroom condition, no accidents has 35k miles

Why don't you give the '12 TL a try out first ?

You'll be amazed by how much better the smooth shifting 6AT on the '12 when compared to the previous years' 5AT.

The cost issue you raise with German cars is on going ...
Init price + Service + Dep = Total Cost of Ownership {TC}.
Iff you like value {low TC}... the cars from Japan are typically only beat by the new Korean factor.
Good trade for US dollar + Good engineering.
In the same style of TL check the Genesis. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...5#post13344585
When I compared MDX Total Cost to BMW, MB, Audi equivalents ... the Acura MDX won by a large delta.

Have you considered a two-fold approach? Buy your TL and drive it while waiting for the new generation of vehicles to be released. Your vehicle has already suffered the vast majority of the depreciation experienced over the first 5 years. Meaning that you can drive it for 2 years at a very low expense ratio. This would get you into 2014 and the 5GL TL.

Yes perhaps buy your car out and mod it out to make it even more aggressive. Or if you add the body kit to the 2012?
Perhaps the G37X would be an alterative?

My lease is also coming to an end in a few months, and I researched on all those alternatives to the TL 2012, yet I feel that the TL is simply the better option for me. 2012 TL only has minor changes from the original 4g. I personally still think it's aggressive enough but it's simultaneously more elegant. Plus there were nice improvements, better tranny for smoother transitions and fuel efficiency, trimmed the extra flat surfaces and extra bulkiness in the front and back, etc...

Of course there is the top competitor, G37, but again, I don't blame you for wishing to stay in the Acura family...Plus, consider that you can get loyalty discounts for being so loyal to Acura .

I hear you about not wanting to leave Acura, but have you looked at a Volvo S60? I would recomend looking at the T6 AWD or R-Design.

I would see if you couls still pick up a 2011. If not and you want to stick with Acura go for a TSX.
I would really look at the 2012 Maxima. Thinking about getting one for my wife and taking the TL from her??? The CVVT trans has come a long way really and it's alot of car for the money.
