just bought a 2010 tl
My first post and my first Acura. I pick it up on Wed. Its the awd tech in grigio with black leather. I wish i bought it last year when sales tax was 5%. MA raised us to 6.25%. I did get the 1.9% rate so that will soften the blow. I think mods will be CAI, exhuast and some some rims and tires(19 or 20's). Hi to all. Pat

Congratulations! Pat, would you mind telling us what kind of a deal you got please? Don't worry if you are not comfortable disclosing it. Thanks!

Super deal!!!
WOW! I am very envious!!! Did you have to negotiate hard? Or was that pretty much just like invoice minus the $2,250 cash back?
I was offered $39,300 for the 2010 TL SH-AWD with Tech by a dealer yesterday, I thought it was high and he came down to $38,900 without too many problems, and I thought it as not too bad.... then I saw the numbers people are getting on this board!!! WOW! I need to try harder.... LOL

Congrats. Great car - you'll love it. (Great price too).
It seems like some folks on the coasts and in TX are doing slightly better on price than us midwesterners. 38K seems to be a good price in the middle of the country for a SH-AWD Tech. I had a few flat out say no (with no counter) to any price in the 38s (much less $37xxx).
The issue often comes down to competition. If you only have one or two dealers nearby, they can be a little stingier, forcing you to make a road trip for a better deal. Being in a bigger metro area with multiple dealers puts a little thumb on the purchaser's side of the scales.
But even at 40K, the TL AWD is a great buy, considering its performance, features, build quality and reliability.

Me too! Ha ha. Yet another great deal at $37,500 for awd tech. The General Mgr at my dealership would not touch that price. I just can't pull the trigger when I KNOW they can sell at that price but choose not to (unless they give me much less on my trade).

Only if you bought the car in 2009. It was part of the stimulus package, you can deduct the taxes paid on any new car purchase. That's the reason I turned in my lease early, to get the added tax benefit.

"The deduction is limited to the taxes and fees paid on up to $49,500 of the purchase price of an eligible vehicle. The deduction is reduced for joint filers with modified adjusted gross incomes (MAGI) between $250,000 and $260,000 and other taxpayers with MAGI between $125,000 and $135,000. Taxpayers with higher incomes do not qualify."
The marriage penalty sucks... but this is where it pays to jointly file.

Wow, it looks like I got a good deal I suppose? I have the 5speed automatic with tech. MSRP = 39,700. Invoice = 36,700. I told them I had a costco membership so they instantly offered me 36,700. Then I negotiated down to 34,900 and walked out the dealership with it with 1.9% finance.

Hi, i am new to this forum, i used to own a 06 tl no navi, then it got total, thanks to a teenager driving crazy on a residencial street. Now 6 years later, i am considering the tl with navi, no shawd, i can not afford it. My question is how much do you think i would be paying now for this car, i see the range between 33k and 35k. i wish i can get it for 33k?? anyone??
#38
Without taxes, fees, etc. you can definitely get one for 33K if you get a base TL. Are you a costco member? Go through costco and they'll recommend the nearest dealership that sells it at the invoice price. Then negotiate down from there.

I actually want the base tl with the technology package. And yes i am a costco and sam'sclub member. can i ask anyone, for their experience from dealers, or they don't allow it in this site.
