Just be careful if you do it yourself, it's easy to short out the fuse box. As stated by some one in the forum earlier, why the hell does Acura/Honda insist on leaving "fugly" yellow lamps in a high tech looking car?

I know this is an old post but I have the exact issue you describe. Replaced the puddle lights with led bulbs and the drivers side wont turn on while the passenger side does not shut off even wit the door closed. I think I also shorted out the fuse, but which is the correct one to replace and where is it??

I have a 2014 Acura TL Technology Package, so far I change the front doors, trunk, and license plate lights to LED.

Sorry to resurrect, but I popped the housing to the center console, but can't figure out where n how to replace the bulb.

Is there a guide anywhere with pictures? Been looking through as many old threads as I could

Ooooh any updates on this? I just realized I have this same issue - my driver side puddle LED is always on... need to check passenger side. Either way, I'm a bit disappointed in the LED I purchased. Was recommended by someone else here (need to go back and find details)... but it's not bright AT ALL. The original ugly yellow ones were brighter.

Anyway, if anyone knows potential fixes to the issue described, I'd love to hear it.

thanks!

Think you were the one asking on the console light.

These posts forced me to go and check my own setup. Guess I've been lucky, as my puddle lights both go on and off when they're supposed to. I got all my LEDs from iJDM Toy, and they've worked out very well. The puddle lights are a huge improvement; I couldn't even tell there were lights under the door before. The best bang for the buck was the trunk light...that's a real improvement. The vanity mirror lights are nice, but not something I use often. And although the license plate lights are a marked improvement, I really don't care how well someone else (police?) can see my tags.

so is there a certain way of putting these LED bulbs in? I shorted my trunk light and been trying to find the right fuse for it.

i am planning to order the license plate lights and puddle light but afraid i might short those out too.

any help would be appreciated.
