OT: I find it weird they never want to hire computer/electrical engineers for cars these days. How else would you design ECUs, on-board computers, etc.? I asked a Honda rep at a career fair if they do and he was just like "nah." I got shafted so i took all of his bags, pens, brochures, etc.

That is not true. I know a guy at Toyota that helped design the new MDX. ( He used to work for Honda in Ohio)

Not so. Most of 3G TL design work was done in California. the majority of the parts are sourced from North America.

Three years ago when the 3G bodystyle was still "relatively" new I met a guy at the NASCAR Allstar event in Charlotte who had worked on the sound dampening aspects of the TL. He came over to the car and showed me the pieces he had developed so at least SOME of this still goes on in the USA

I do live about 30 minutes away here in Columbus Ohio and I have a cousin that works there but I don't think I want to get them into trouble. :-)

The only part in the 3G TL from Japan is the auto transmission.
