iJDMTOY DRL Question

I have read a few threads about this LED kit, and I was hoping for a definitive answer. Yesterday I ordered the - Xenon White 9005 HB3 LED Daytime Running Light Bulbs + DRL Decoder Kit For Acura TL TSX RDX MDX ZDX Honda Accord Civic Odyssey Pilot CR-Z - for my 09 TL. It says it comes with a decoder kit, but do I need do get a set of load resisters for it too? I also ordered the - JDMTOY Bi-Color 57 pcs Xenon White, 57 pcs Amber Yellow Switchback 1157 (aka 2057 2357 7528) LED Turn Signal Light Bulbs - and I made sure to order a set of load resisters for it. The website didnt mention anything about recommending resistors for the DRL kit, so I wasnt sure. Thanks

If its a 09' TL then 1157 switch backs with decoder is good. See G 007 how to install switchbacks on a 4 th gen tl 09 - 11. Which DRL KIT did you get? There is more than one, but regardless the Decoder kit they talk about is also the resistors, it's the same thing.

Ok thanks. I ordered the Super Bright 68-SMD 9005 w/Decoder set. http://store.ijdmtoy.com/9005-LED-Da...d_sku45_r2.htm I didnt realize that decoder sets and resistors are pretty much the same thing, just a different name.

i wasnt sure if i should make a new thread or revive an old thread. is there a way to keep the DRL on High Beam mode without actually flipping the switch? i know it cuts off the fogs, and i dont wanna do that. but the DRLs look nicer with the higher voltage running through them. would there be any adverse effects besides maybe burning out the LEDs faster?

How are those JMToy DRLs working out? Do you have full functionality and are the high beams bright?

The JMToy DRL's are dim in comparison to the V-leds. The V-leds are a higher wattage and they are more white instead of the bluish look of the JMToy LEDS. See my pics. Vleds 1st
