How low have you seen the mileage range go on your MID?
I was just wondering this morning how low people have seen their mileage range go on their MID before having to fill up.
I know it varies based on how you drive, but I saw mine at 19 miles this morning before I put 16.7 gallons in it.
Others?

The tank is 17 gallons but I was never able to fill up more than 12.5... according to forum info it seems even in the WORST conditions on earth you can go 40 miles after MID hits 0... so when MID hits 0 I reset the Trip A and refill by 30 miles. You should not hesitate AT ALL to drive until MID says 0 miles. Extra gas station trips just wastes gas and time with filling up more often than necessary.
Oops! You're 4th gen, you got 18.5 gallons! Just check when you fill it up how little gas you can fit in and you'll know the MID lies

This is getting embarrassing, I don't have 4th gen. A lot of google results for "4th gen TL tank capacity"

i did an experiment on my 3G and this is the conclusion:
FIRST dont think in terms of miles....you might have 10 miles worth of gas in there but if you jump from highway to city, it might last you only 4-5 miles....
so think in terms of gallons...
in the 3G:
when the light comes on you have ~3 gallons in there
when the range goes to zero you have ~1.5 gallons in there
so when the range goes to zero you can still go 30-40 miles depending on you gas mileage that you get.....

I always fill up as soon as I can after the MID gives me the low fuel warning. I typically see the warning when I have between 50-60 miles of range left and normally get to fill up when I have between 40-50 miles range left. Even with 50 miles range remaining, I manage to fill up roughly 17 gallons of gas.
So for me, going to 0 is not an option, I'm quite sure I'd be out of gas if I did.
