How hard it is to remove/install rear bumper cover?
Let's just say I had a minor fender bender (ugh! ) and made a 3" vertical split on the corner of the rear bumper cover, just where the real internal metal bumper ends.
I was thinking instead of leaving the car at the body shop for a few days while they paint the cover, I can order a cover from Bernardi, have my shop paint it w/o the car. When it's ready I pick it up and swap it out myself. It's not the money but rather the inconvenience of not having the use of the car.
From the exploded diagram on Bernardi, it seems pretty straight forward but I know things can be deceiving. No damage to anything else, e.g., exhaust tip, reflector, etc.
There's no need to blend into the quarter panel as the car is only a year old and besides, the WDP bumper don't match the body anyway from the factory. I would insist on no blending.

Simple - a few screws and it just clips off, 20 mins max to get it off for a first timer - get a budy to help you.
I took it off with a buddy to put my sport rear trunk trim on.
