Horn Placement

It's just awful. I know this is a pretty pettty nitpick but I really wish the horn was in a place where you could easily push it with either of your two thumbs. It's essentially only in the center of the steering wheel surrounded by all those buttons. In previous cars I've owned it seemed to fall more naturally right under a thumb as I drove.

Not a big deal to be sure but I was just wondering if anyone else had an issue with the placement of the horn.

(I still love my car and look forward to walking out to it every morning.)

The nicer cars tend to have the horn on a completely separate piece than the gadgets. Cars with minimal (or no) buttons on the steering wheel tend to have very wide horns. I'll take the nice car with the shitty horn lol =P

I think it's fine where it is......in a panic situation, all you have to do is slam down on the center of the wheel.....putting it off-center means it gets lost with the myriad of other little buttons.

Yeah, I used to drive a Saturn about 10 years ago that had the horn on two buttons on the steering wheel. One night a pizza guy tried to turn right across four lanes of traffic when I was in the far right hand lane. I lost a split second when I hit the wheel before hitting the button where the horn was. Probably wouldn't have made any difference (the idiot never looked, and just gunned it) but he might have been able to hit his brakes or swerve in time.

Aw - the memories. My dad had a '71 Mercury Cougar that had a squeezy thing all the way around the rim. All you had to do was squeeze the rim. Problem was that the damned thing was too easy to set off.
