Hole Inside Gas Cover - Below Cap - What Is It For?
So a quick question came to my mind, the hole inside the gas cover, below the cap, what is it for? Is it supposed to be an extra drain type hole that if you pour in too much gas it goes in the tank still?
Reason I ask is - over winter, and when it rains, I notice water building up in there and just sitting in that area - its not going down the hole (obiously I don't want water going in the tank) or is it and its getting stuck?
Is my drain hole plugged?
Should I be concerned with the water buildup there?
Have others noticed this?
(I have a 2009 Acura TL FWD with 52,000KM about 1.5 years old now)

Today I noticed this problem for the first time when opening it up the gas door to fill up the tank. The rain water from these past couple of days is just collecting there and not draining or draining extremely slow. I tried sticking in a roughly 6 inch plastic zip tie and wiggling it around but it doesn't seem to do anything...
