Sounds like tire balance or tire flat-spotting.

If you're hearing a "whirring" noise when you turn the steering wheel, that's normal. It's the electric steering.

But grinding is not normal.

Have them come on a test run with you, it's better to have a tech or dealer employee actually drive the vehicle themselves but with you and point out exactly what it is you feel happening with the car. I thought that was standard procedure for most dealers for something like this anyway. If they won't do that try another dealer, worst case call Acura corporate, open a case and you see how fast they get on it.

I have had my TL up to 125 MPH ,, ,, and no vibration at all. You would think TIRE balancing but if that did not help, it could be a DEFECTIVE TIRE!!!

I'm having the exact same problems. Still in the process of getting it fixed. Try the dealer one more time, and if that doesn't help, give acura client services a call. I've had my tires balanced 5 times, and my tires replaced as well. Still problems.

^^^ and the OP. Read this thread here. Specifically read my posts. For me it ended up being a bad drive shaft. That was at 900 miles. I am now at 27k miles and all is still good

Here is the problem. Most cars come with a good 4 sets of tire. But, the reason is tires made from rubber. and When they had to stay on the same position for a long time, the shape of tires seem to change a bit. Some of them, when you buy your car, and start driving it, those tires will soon come back to normal shape due to hot road and weather. BUT, some of them (unfortunately) will keep the weird shapes forever (means defective tires-Suckers those manufacturers) So as long as your car is a new car, then just ask dealer to replace 4 new ones.
Secondly, ask them this one, I learn this from my friend tire shop and I only trust him to do the balance for my TL. ASK those damn dealer suckers should change the caliper of balance machine before they balance your car. That's the big point.
Because when the balance machine has been used for a long time without replacing caliper, it seems not to accurate anymore. Believe me! My friend own the Bridgestones shop and he is in business for 10 years.
ya, then thing should be ok.
but:
if your car is vibrate during driving on the freeway, it's the balance.
but, if it only vibrate when you brake, it's the brake issues.
resurface should be a solution. but, will decrease your brake rotors life.
change new brake disks??? too good but costly!
so, they all depend on your decisions.
I got my car fixed because I am lucky.
Good luck to you my friend
