Headlight replacement

Has anyone bought replacement headlights from ebay that are made by 1A Auto. I tried to remove the residue on my and noticed a crack in one so I might as well just order new ones. If I can find a decent set of used O.E.M.'s for a good price I rather buy those but if not I guess it would be replica ones to buy.

Stick with used OEM, far superior innards than the aftermarket ones.

ebay/facebook is best bet to find used OEM parts at killer prices! If you want new, it'll be acuraoemparts.com use code acurazine for 5% off. Aftermarket lights tend to get moisture or look off in color.

I'm typically a big fan of OEM, but I have to disagree with you on lights. The OEM have a tendency to crack, particularly in climates with significant temperature swing. That's a design failure, and not a hallmark of "higher quality". I've seen aftermarket headlights for the 4G (can't remember which brand) and they were practically indistinguishable from OEM. As for fogs, I ran through several sets of OEM (paying through the nose for the privilege), before finally "settling" for some Depos. The Depos have lasted for years now.

So while I typically go OEM, if I need to replace another headlight (I've already had to), I'll likely go aftermarket.

I've bought from 1Aauto before. The quality of the parts are ok for a beater car but I wouldn't put em on my TL. Aftermarket headlights are always a gamble, The ones I got from ebay didn't align correctly with the hood of the car and its mounting points. It resulted in a very hard to close hood and a headlight that was anchored at only 2 points. Let us know if you find a quality and cost effective alternative to OEM headlights.
