Has anyones used the Hawk LTS brake pads?

Since the TL uses the same rotor as a Honda Odessy and the same brake pad as the Honda Ridgeline, the Hawk LTS (light truck & suv) pad is available to us. It uses Ferro-Carbon friction material instead of ceramic.

Has anyone has experience with these on their TL?

check it, any type of pad will stop the car.
depending on the material of the pad will determine; initial bite, life, noise, and dust.
with that being said; what is more important to you?

I'm all about performance and want the very best for my car, however, i hate the dusting that is associated with a carbon based pad.
it's like if I wash the car, not even 2 hours later, the wheels are CAKED with dust.
so, I opted for a ceramic pad and NEVER looked back.
and honestly, I cant tell the difference between ceramic and carbon based pads when stopping.
they both stop the car in the same amount of time and distance, because stopping is about traction. a great grippy set of tires will stop the car in a shorter distance than a great pad will

You are right any pad will stop the car.

I guess for me personally I do some spirited driving and have experienced brake fade. I guess im willing to try this pad out of curiosity because ive only used ceramic pads. I agree the ceramics are good at keeping the dust down, but if I can get a set of pads with good bite i think i can wash my car a lil more.

While tires will greatly help in stopping distances or hurt it, there is a big difference in pads and some will actually stop you faster than others. The ceramic pads you are using are not the same type that you will find on a Porsche, but they should still be a little better than carbon pads.

i will forego initial bite, cuz that all it is, initial....for little to no dust.

I have far greater stopping distances with summer tires on.
I also have factory Brembo's, so I dont deal with nearly as much fade as others

I am in the same situation. I just ordered a set of LTS this morning. I am looking for some extra stopping power since I autocross my boat. I will see if I can stand the dust.

Have you made your decision on what to get?
