Graphite Luster Metallic Debadge
I looked through the threads for debadging and I'm torn - want to debadge but not convinced I want it all gone.
The 13's come without "Acura" now, but that seems lopsided with TL and SH-AWD on the right and nothing on the left.
I'm thinking of keeping only the SH-AWD but haven't seen any pic of this.
If those who have done some variations of debadging on a 2012, I'd appreciate seeing the pics to compare...

there is someone on this forum who does have the Acura Logo and Sh-AWD on and everything else debagded, keep searching in one of the threads... i was thinking about doing that aswell. ordered my heat gun and everything. what i did to visualize it, i took a picture of the back of the car, opened the file in paint, zoomed in and copy pasted over the Acura and TL emblems and zoomed out to get a feel of what i liked. you might wanna do the same. takes about 5 mins

Thanks for the tip - I did the various options quickly in Paint. What is everyone's preference - 1, 2, 3 or 4?

I'm personally going with option 4, should have time to get it done this weekend - I also have GLM. I just saw a white TL with the beak grill this morning with full rear debadge, looked great

I have Grigio Metallic and am considering blacking out all the badges, but keeping them. If I were to leave anything off it would be the "Acura" and "TL" badges.
I haven't seen a DIY on it. Do you need a heat gun, or will a hair dryer work? What is the process in doing so? Heating it up and then using fishing line or unwaxed dental floss? Is there any residue?
Sorry for all the questions.

Guess I'm too late now, but I would have gone with option 4.

Some residue is left which wipes off quite easily. Some use goo-gone or the like. Wax once cleaned off and you're good to go. Only takes a few minutes!
Still haven't done mine yet. Would love a full debadge but the Mrs is against it at the moment. Still working her..... She only thinks the Acura should go like the 2013.

Some day I'll do it.

Floss wasn't strong enough when I debadged my last vehicle but fishing string worked like a charm. Either do t on a warm day with no help, or a hairdryer for a minute or so is fine.

I removed the 'Acura' today and it took all of 3 minutes. Wiped off the residue and waxed the area... I used 30 pound fishing line - no heat required...

I agree personally but the Mrs really doesn't like the look. I removed the TL too as a compromise and actually like it. To each their own I guess!

I got rid of my "ACURA" too. Consider moving the SH-AWD where the ACURA is and leave the TL too.

So here's a pic of the latest - debadged with leaving just the SH-AWD. I like the look and was a good compromise with the wife.
