I have been posting in the fourth generation TL forum for about one and a half weeks and what I have realized is that this particular forum is DEAD. There are very new posts every day and don't see a lot of people complaining about certain issues. Coming from Clublexus, where every day was a bitchfest about the ES350, this forum is a welcome sight!! To me it validates that the TL is a very well made car and there are very few minor flaws(other than bucktooth grill) with this car. I understand that at this point there are not that many owners of this car, most likely due to the polarizing style but looking at the sticky "4th Gen owners sign in" there are quite a few owners yet the forum is DEAD. To me its awesome and Acura keep up the good work and a big THANK YOU Acura for making a greet car!!!

 

+1 Here here! It's more about modifications and fine tuning in this forum. There are some valid issues regarding the changing of the HFL system from Alpine to Pioneer, but it still works, just with a few more buttons to push! I agree, bravo Acura!

 

Ditto. Way to go Acura. I have had no issues to complain about whatsoever. I am in the business of selling cars and I can't find a major flaw in the car. Other than the obvious which I have modded. Excellent Acura

 

I've found a few quirks, but nothing major at all. My driver side front window has a mind of its own, and when I press auto up, it auto ups halfway, then goes all the way down lol. Let's see, what else. The wallpaper is such a great function, but made pretty useless by stupidity on Acura's part. It lets me go through all the motions of putting the wallpaper on while driving, only to tell me the car can't be moving to display it. If it's that concerned, why let me press anything at all? Didn't I press OK to confirm I would use good judgement while driving? Let's see, what else...why is there no alphabetical shortcuts for the ipod? They have it for the phonebook, no? So why must I spin the wheel 1000 times to scroll through 1000 albums to get to the letter Z? Last complaint is the oddly shaped trunk, which doesn't quite let me fit my subwoofer. I had to mount it crooked in order to fit it lol.

Fortunately, that's all the complaints I have, and those are nitpicky at best. It's a wonderful car, it's well made, and the quality of the materials are absolutely top notch (and anyone who says otherwise, and says Audi or whatever else blows it out the water in regards to that needs to have their heads examined). It's also extremely sharp looking, a real head turner. Great job by Acura. I know I'm biased, since, ya know, I own the car lol. But even if I didn't, and I opted for something else (and I was very close to doing so, except to get a comparably equipped German car was 10K+ more), I would still have glowing praise for it. You cannot beat this car for the price, or even for 10k more.

 

At least your wallpaper works. Mine won't import anything (see related thread).

I do love this car. Well built. Only bad thing about this forum so far, is that I probably wouldn't have have noticed the plastic door pulls.

 

I got taillight leaking water and need a replacement this weekend!
Other than that, everything looks good to me.

 

What plastic door pulls? Wait, don't tell me lol. If you do, then it'll wind up annoying me too lol, and what I don't know won't hurt me

 

Other than the rattle in the moonroof, passenger airbag, doors; screaching when
windows go up or down; poor gas mileage; and car swerving back and forth on the freeway; I cant complain.
