I know that the gold emblems for the Acuras years back were optional but do they make OEM gold emblems for the 4G? I really would rather purchase factory painted emblems rather than painting my own due to aesthetic reasons.

If not, how would you go about painting your emblems to ensure an OEM look?

And for the 4G 2012-2014 only came in chrome.
You could possibly look at other years on eBay, but are not guaranteed to fit because it didn't come OEM.

You could go the simple plastidip way with metallizer, or you can go the hard way by sanding down the chrome and painting it gold then clear coat it

 

All in all, it's not worth it unless you do the easy plastidip way

 

I think gold looks kind of tacky. But if it's your thing, just do as justnspace said, it'll probably end up better than OEM would. All gold emblems seem to fade over time, even OEM ones.

There are suppliers that you can ship auto trim and they will gold plate it for you.
A mechanic friend of mine found one online. Turnaround was about 2-3 weeks.
