Getting rear main seal replaced. Anything else to replace while in there?
Hey guys/gals,
Long time lurker but first time poster! . I have a 2010 Acura TL (fwd) with 130K miles and getting my rear main seal replaced (oil leaking) from my Acura tech. My engine & transmission mounts are shot and the car vibrates so he'll be replacing those too since he has fairly easy access to them while replacing the rear main seal and it'll save me extra labor. Is there anything else that can be changed "while in there"? I would hate to have something else crap out and pay a ton in $$ labor to get back in that area. Thanks guys and looking forward to contributing around here!

If you haven't had your timing belt service performed yet you should do that, drain and fill the transmission fluid if that hasn't been done. Brake fluid if it's been 3 or more years since you last had it flushed. I'm not sure why WraeDeoHed would suggest clutch on your AT.

are you sure it's the RMS? Have you tried replacing your PCV valve to see if that resolves the RMS leak? There have been past cases of RMS leaks but it was due to a clogged PCV valve that increase crankcase pressure causing it to seep out the RMS. Worth a shot not to have to drop the engine to replace the RMS
