kind of dumb question especially this is a acura forum, but wanted to get some input.
went to infiniti, & they just jerked me around. wanted a g37 coupe, but they pushed me to buy the 57, so i left.
went to lexus, & no one wanted to help me.
finally, went to acura, they sold me a 2010 acura tl with tech package, sh awd. they said dont buy the 2011, due to same car, & cheaper. saved 8000, & got the color i wanted. white with black interior. awesome!!

you've misconstrued my post.

I like the more polarizing effect of the 09-11s.
the new '12 looks a little bland, almost camry like.

I think the look is still polarizing on the '12, or at least still different than the BWM/Mercedes look. The toned down nose works for me I was thnking of getting an '11 but would have changed that beak out right away.. the upgrades on the '12 are gonna be nice (to me) 6at, vented seats and voice regonition for the audio/nav/etc seem great to me.

What's an M57? I would probably go with the M37 or M56...if a really good deal could be had. Otherwise the TL.

the only thing i wish the 2010 had from the 2012 is the headlights and the front lip... everything else i would like to keep it under 2010 specs

I am coming back to Acrua from Infinit, currenlty have M37S. Also looked at and driven a G37 many times. What I can tell you is if you want rocket straight line performance then go get a G37 or M56, if you want a car that performs well and sticks in turns like glue get a AWD TL and wait a month and get the 2012.
Not sure what you are used to driving, but I will say Infiniti electronics suck and Acura's are light years ahead. Infiniti bluetooth is weak and has numerous issues, their NAV is not as easy to use a Acura and Acura voice controls are far superior, Infinit has maybe 20-30 commands, Acura you can control virtually everything in the car via voice. The Acura is built better too, my M37 has too much body flex and is too tinny compared to my old 2009 AWD TL. One thing IMO Infinit does better is styling, I love the flow and shapre of my M37 and while the 12 TL is a big improvement Acura still needs work and needs better colors. The new Gray is so dark in other than bright light will pass for black, the new silver is now a steel gray silver with a hint of blue under certain lighting.

Not trying to be biased, but i test drove several cars including some you mentioned above and i ended up purchasing the Acura exactly like yours minus the tech package,i am happy with the decision i made because in terms of reliability,resale value,build quality and handeling to mention a few i think Acura has a lot of competetors beaten,people need to look past the grill and once they have actually driven the car they will quickly realize that it is a gem waiting to be discovered.I also like the fact that they remaim somewhat exclusive being that you do not see them everywhere you look.Congrats on your choice.

Nice car, congrats! I'm definately biased towards the TL, since I bought one! I was planning on test driving the G37, the IS350, and was also impressed with a used 2004 S4, but after driving the TL I was sold, no need to look at anything else!

Congrats...you will love it, the car sticks like glue on the road. I bought an 2011 Palladium Silver w. Ebony, my other choice was white. I wanted a lighter color after having gone form an anthracite 2006 TL, my first and last dark car. I loved the color but living in the Northeast, the weather and roads did not.

I also bought a new 2010 TL sh awd two weeks ago in Toronto,the dealership had two of them and i also saw two more at two seperate dealerships,my guess is that in a few weeks they will be all gone, to get of 2011 would have run me about 4 k more.

No 2010s, in Jersey either when I bought mine the next to last week of Jan....they pick mine up at another dealer in NY , dropped 6k off the price and gave me 0.9%....could beat that deal.

Nice color... I bought the same 2010 in November. It was the last new 2010 at the dealership. Saved lots of $$ on it too. Same color package. I was also treated like crap at Lexus. The Acura salesman was great - just gave me the keys and told me to enjoy the test drive. I bought the car right on the spot and picked it up after the weekend. I even went back to the Lexus dealership to show them my new Acura. The Lexus sales guy that didn't have time for me and was quite rude looked shocked.

The cars you're talking about are all over the place in terms of price. I'd take the M56 if money weren't an issue. In reality, I'd take the 2012 TL for bang-for-the-buck, probably.

And BTW, yes, Sugar Land is a nice place... I grew up near there in Missouri City a loooong time ago.

Thanks gents. i was very lucky to get the white on black. the 2011's, they didn't have the white with black. only ivory interior. also, they didn't have the sh awd in white for the 2011.i plan to change the fog lights to led, license bulbs too. waiting for the body kit to come in. also looking for some rims. maybe some dep dish ones, then go from there, & figure out what next.
car doesn't have the :umph" like the g's, but just love the ride!! too bad the steering doesn't move away like the infiniti's, but can't win em all.

Jusrushem - Thank you... some people one here are a little critical about the back of the TL, but I think it looks great... especially in white... good buy!

That is the new Forged Silver Metallic. Interesting to see it outside, it is my hesitation with getting back into a TL, damn Acura colors are dark and while they call this silve it is more a steel gray to me. They seem so afraid of a real silver with new grill to avoid a clashing or maybe to better contrast the grill. I have toyed with getting a TSX for a year or 2 so I can afford to do some home improvements, let me know how you like the new NAVI.

Keith - So far the car handles just like I expected... great. It actually reminds me a lot like the 335I in the handling (Sport car suspensions). But that is way I like it vs the Lexus where it is a softer drive, but you feel like you're driving Miss Daisy everywhere you go....
