Full Synthetic oil Mobil1 and Castrol gold bottle
Hi,
I keep buying full Synthetic oil of Mobil1 and Castrol gold bottle from Walmart, which is around 28 dollars. But I see them same bottle in Autozone and other retailer stores are more than expensive. around 38 dollars.
the question is that are they same thing with huge difference of price?
Mobile 1 gold bottle states 15000 miles protection. if you use this oil, what is your oil change interval? I change oil with mobil 1 god around 6,000 miles.

I buy the Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-20 Gold Cap from walmart and it's usually 25-28 dollars depending on if it's on sale or not. It should be the same product, walmart just sells it cheaper as it can afford to buy in much larger volume than auto parts stores and doesn't need to charge such a high markup.
I used to change the M1 EP 5W-20 every 12-15K miles but have reduced it down to about 10K miles with a new oil filter (plus 1/4 quart in the oil filter) at the 5K interval.

Thinking about Castrol god bottle, maybe is better than M1 gold cap. But Castrol does not offer 0w-20 for gold bottle. only black jar
