First thread from Noob with 2010 TL 6mt

First of all go easy on me as this is my first thread. I really like this site and have learnt a great deal just by lurking. I picked up a 2010 Tl AWD 6mt just over two months ago with 49,500 kms or about 31,000 miles on the odometer. It came with the aero package and an extended warranty to 96 months or 200,000kms. After using the car intermittently since then ( I also drive a 2003 Altima SE V6 with a 5 speed manual) I decided to get the oil and filter changed as well as the manual tranny flushed from the Acura dealer near my home. I found the shifting to be notchy when the car warmed up so this was another reason for the fluid change. Rather than go with the fluids from Acura I bought Amsoil Signture Series 5W20 Synthetic oil for the engine. I also went with Amsoil transmission oil for the 6MT. I immediately noticed an improvement in the feel when shifting and so far I am very happy. The staff at the dealership treated me well and I wll get the diff oil changed soon.

I do find the TL to be a heavy car with Acura focusing on luxury first. My Altima seems more tossable and has significantly less body roll whan compared to the TL with the Alti benefitting from Nismo products like their suspension, sways, CAI, and exhaust mods from RL and Cattman. I know many here have gone the TEIN route with their coilovers but I am wondering if thats my best choice given the harsh climate we have here in Ontario, Canada. With the snow, slush and salt in winter, my concern is can the TEIN's handle this without seizing up.

Thats it for now...cheers

I believe 2010's are about 3600lbs? This is not a light car.
Congrats on the purchase!

What part of Ontario are you located in?

I dont have experience with TEINS but you shouldnt have to worry about them seizing up on you. I'm going to be ordering them as well over the summer.

I am in Mississauga. Quite away from you. What concerns me can the Tiens handle the crappy wimter weather we get here which I am sure would even be worse in your area.
