I had been very impressed by the 4G TL since I saw it in 2008. It took 4 years but finally I am going to get one. The car is being prepped at the dealership right now and they have put in an '12 MDX for the meanwhile.

Looking forward to picking it up either tonight or Friday morning.

Any tips / pointers on things to be checked before it rolls off the dealer's lot.

Go over your TL with a fined tooth comb, make sure it is what it was when you first looked at it.
I always read all the paperwork carefully when im signing my life away in the finance guys office. Post some pics when you can!

In general I never felt drawn to the X. I always felt that for the money the Odyssey was a better buy, at least for my needs. The '12 MDX is certainly very refined with the 6 speed, but again not something I see owning myself. From the 150 Miles that I had it, below are my quick thoughts

Likes:
6 Speed was very smooth
Nice Interior & Great Navigation system
Bluetooth was easy to use and very clear

Dislikes:
MID didn't have instant MPG display
Overall ride quality.
No place on the door arm rest to keep coins, etc
Low MPG (I was even using a light foot)



The paperwork for TL was already done earlier when I dropped off my RL. I did a reassessment of the TL at pickup and found a few small things that were overlooked and those were quickly addressed. Overall pickup was a breeze, no major surprises. PICs will be coming soon.

I was able to get the service history on the car, looks like the previous owner had a rear speaker, 2 rear door latches and the TC replaced under warranty.

Bingo It is 35% on side and rear. With black interior it tends to look a bit darker than the actual %.

Not planning for an underbody kit as of now.
