Hello everyone,


My mom has a 2010 TL and she was telling me a story today and I'm trying to understand what happened.


Someone pulled out in front of her and she had to SLAM on the brakes to avoid hitting them--its sounds like it was a really close call. After she had stopped and resumed driving she noticed the radio had turned off and the instruments in the gauge cluster "died". She had to pull over and restart the car to get everything functioning again.



Can anyone give me more info on what was happening. I'm curious as to if this was just a fluke or some type of safety systems activating.

Is the car a 6 speed? I remember one of my first autocross events in my younger years, I came to such a screeching halt I forgot to take the car out of gear!
