Alright so I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I'm hoping you guys can help me out. Here's the deal: my wife's '09 TL SH-AWD w/ Tech Package had a little fender bender, and we just got it back from the body shop. We're making sure everything is in working order and stumbled upon something about the reverse tilt mirrors. I'm not sure if they've always worked this way, or if the behavior is new.

Right now, if the mirror "position switch" is in the Center position, the reverse tilt mirrors don't work (meaning they don't tilt when the car is put in Reverse). If the position switch is in Left, then only the left mirror tilts during Reverse. If the position switch is in Right, then only the Right mirror tilts during Reverse.

Does that sound like normal behavior to you guys? I thought there was a way to have both mirrors tilt, but to be honest never really paid much attention before. Thanks a bunch in advance!

The 3rd Generation TL's operate exactly how you mentioned.
So, in conclusion Acura hasnt changed the way they work and you are fine. it is working like its intended.

^^Ditto. I have an '09 SH-AWD as well and thats exactly how they operate. I was a little bummed when I realized that both aren't capable of tilting at the same time, but it's no big deal IMO. Since you have the tech package reversing should be no problem with that back up camera =)

Thanks for the quick replies. You guys ROCK! We haven't exactly had the greatest experience with this body shop so I was on the verge of thinking "oh man not ANOTHER issue" Glad to hear that it's just the way it works.
