thats tough, because the DRL is also your high beam... you dont want to put an LED in there, because it will never be bright enough when you need it , on a dark road

i think personally, the best bet, is like a Nokya 2500K 9005 Halogen bulb... yellow tint, and still bright enough when needed... i know thats what im putting in mine

I was hoping to get a bulb that would appear white, but since it's something like 30% highbeam I'm unsure if there is a bulb that would do this but not appear blue when you turned on the highbeams.

Blackura's suggestion isn't bad, since I imagine those would give off a quality yellow, as opposed to the dim white of the stock bulbs.

I got the 9005 18 LED SMT from here:
http://autolumination.com/headlights.htm

Overall during the day time, it provides a pure white. I went with them because of the price, but I'm going to try these 68 LED ones next:

Just curious, is there anything illegal with using these as DRL replacements?

BTW, the v-leds are awesome....I bought some for my rear license plate lights and the light output and color was fantastic!

You guys may want to check out this thread from the RDX section: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=681668&page=2

The Hoen Xenonmatch Plus 9005 looks like a good choice with its color while being used as a DRL and the 9005 is 55W like the stock bulb so there's no risk.

Just another bulb to consider if you actually want to use your high beams at some point, while if you put in LEDs they're totally useless.

Hm.. that's impressive. I read about Hoen, but I figured any regular bulb would look yellowish given the lower voltage. Maybe I will give them a try.

I have Hoen fogs....color is slightly purple-ish......so match isn't that good with the main HID's......but still better than stock. (I think I should've gone with the V-Leds for fogs).

Do you get a DRL Malfunction error on the MID display?

Thanks for the info CL. I just purchased the 68 LED lights. I'll post pics when I install them. I don't ever use highbeams either.

I had the 68 LED's....kept on giving me DRL error messages.(most likely due to the low voltage draw on the LED's). The color looked good but the output is pretty dim, esp. during daylight. I got sick of the error messages and replaced them with the Hoen's.
