do you use rubber floor mats or original cloth mats?
I bought a set of Lloyd customized floor mats, they fit nicely and the rubber materials seem sturdy, however, they are by no means as aesthetic as the original cloth floor mats with TL on them...... Yet the cloth mats do not seem to be very easy to clean.....which means they are not functional as "floor mats". What do you guys think?

Not only are they hard to clean, they wear out too quickly. I've ordered WeatherTech for the TL and have A-Spec all-season in the RDX.

Think about this:
Ths A/C will kick up all the dried dirt instead of
it being captured in the fibers of the mat.
The result is twofold:
1. Poor air quality, all that dirt will end up in your
lungs.
2. Dust all over the dash and interior.
This is why i keep my fiber carpets in all seasons,
wash them when they get dirty.
I also use WeatherTech mats but only the non-spill
kind in the trunk.

I just used the acura rubber mats from my 3G TL - front and rear fit fine

I like the Rubber ones better, but in my 08 mdx, I have taupe mats to match the interior, they look so bad now after 2 years...even went and got everything detailed and still no change, so now I just bought a TL CBP with taupe interior and the Black rubber mats. I might have to get a set of black ones for the mdx too...

Just got the all-season TL mats from Bernardi parts a week ago. $98 bucks plus shipping. Not a moment too soon, as the winter slush started up this week. Look and fitment are great (make sure to order the FWD/AWD correctly, as the rear hump is different), and it seems to hang onto a lot of volume. Can't speak to the durability at this point though...

Use custom fit ExactMats on my TL. Loved it's practicality on my Lexus and got a set for the TL as well.

I bought the OEM All season mats in September 08 (Jesus, been that long?) and after less than a year, major wear marks on the driver side, and then it wore into gigantic holes...I'm not rough with them, and I generally wear regular sneakers, I had to replace with a $15 mat from Autozone, rest of the car is still using the Acura mats. Its a shame, I loved the Acura mat on my driverside, fit so perfect

Rubber mats in snow weather. And the cloth mats all the rest of the time.

I use black cloth generic mats over the stock ones on both my cars. They are the small rear mats from a $10 walmart kit. I put them just where my heals hit the floor. Maintains the look and feel of the car, and protects the original mats quite well.

I have black rubber mats I bought at Pep-Boys over the OEM cloth mats, I have done that with all my vehicles and if/when they wear out I buy another set (Cheap).

Yep, I second that.
When the winter tires go on, so do the winter mats. I bought some OEM Winter mats in October and am digging them so far.
As far as the AWD vs. FWD mat differences, I've never tried to put my mats into a FWD. However, comparing the pattern of the cutouts shown in the Acura installation guide (http://acura.bernardiparts.com/Image...s_BII42520.pdf) vs. those seen at the WeatherTech site for "Floor Mats All-Weather", I'm thinking WT just designed it to fit both. This could leave a little more uncovered flat carpet in both drivetrains. These guys also lack (from what I've seen) the locking tab that the OEM mats have on the front of each, so you may get a little more movement between vacuums.
If you lookup the WT "Floorliner DigitalFit" (basically, their top-shelf version), the site does ask whether your car is AWD or not, so they're presumably changing the design. It also has the locking tab and tall sides. They've got some pretty funny commercials showing a cup or two of water pouring out of these things, but I'd be worried about that turning into a solid block of ice during some extended cold streaks.
