Nope, 4G TL comes with standard acura brakes. I'd recommend you get yourself a better set of rotors and pads for the future if you care about performance. I'd vote with 2 piece Racing Brake rotors with some Carbotech pads!

Sounds slick but this is a going to be a daily commuter with some occasional speeding down on ramps and whipping around curves. Im not ever taking the car to the track or street racing or anything like that.

I never understood why Acura decided to do away with Brembo, especially on the top sport model like the 6MT SHAWD.

Brembo brakes tend to make noise due to the priority on high braking performance, and most owners will not tolerate brake noise just like suspension noises and body rattles.

I have the brembos on my TLS. They work great and all but are overkill for a non "fast and the furious" driver like me. To me they just annoy me that my rims are black 2 days after I clean them.

I couldn't stand all the brake dust from the OEM set up on my type s either. When I needed new brakes I went with non OEM for a few reasons, and now brake dust is extremely minimal.

Same here. You can get some duralast Ceramic breakpads for half the price, they get the job done.

IMO acura needs to get off their high-horse and simply put slightly larger brakes with vented rear rotors to get rid of the constant braking problems such as warped rotors, etc.

Interesting, I've had the Brembo brakes on 2 TL's now, noise was never my complaint. They worked great but the insane amount of dusting was my pet peeve. I know the whole TL setup for Brembo is more than just the pads, but the pads themselves I would never buy for any car ever for that reason.

My OEM pads and rotors made it to about 100k miles without issue. That being said, I bought it with 22K on it and the dealer could have replaced the pads for CPO purposes. I don't know for sure.
Regardless, 78K on a set of pads and rotors is not bad if they had replaced them. Just a quick turn of the rotors and new pads and it runs and stops like new.
IMO, going with Brembo or any of the other high performance brakes are a waste of money unless you are going to track the car, or you just want the aesthetics of a slotted or drilled rotor.

right, one would have to know the difference in compounds to understand what kind of effects it will have in terms of dusting, initial bite, noise.
there will always be a trade off or compromise.
one cannot have it all.
I've found that a ceramic pad compromises quite well!
it provides ample bite, while remaining pretty quiet and the dusting is a lot less than a carbon based pad.

I am not sure I agree completely... being a "waste of money" is purely a subjective issue as the addition of a forged caliper and larger rotor is really quite nice and exciting.
Can it be used daily... probably not unless you are in a panaic situation on a daily basis or if your commute happens to be up and down a mountain road. Still, I would not hesitate to install a stoptech kit myself.
