Dirty Door Jams
Does anyone else notice how dirty the door jams get? I have the WDP and they get more dirt in them then the rest of the car. It seems as if the water/dirt must get in the door cracks easier then my 3G? I never remember having to actually wash the door jams everytime on the 3G.

I have a 3G WDP and my jams get pretty dirty too- I suspect it's not much different from the 4G actually. Did you have a WDP 3G too? The blackish dust may not be as obvious with a Silver or Antracite car as it is with a WDP.
I wash my car every two weeks since it stays pretty clean being garaged every night. I use the paper towels previously used to clean the windows to then go and clean all the jams. The jams are wet from the wash anyway and this cleans and tidies up everything pretty easily. The jams are good for another two+ weeks then.

I had the red/burgandy 3G before the new WDP 4G. Never noticed the jams being that dirty. Now just black dirt spots in the jams and the lower rocker panel. Guess it the price I pay for having the WDP.

Another solution that works is running a California duster on your jams between washes. The WDP shows the dust far more on the trunk (on a 3G anyway) than the jams and I'll dust it off with the CA duster every couple of days to keep the car looking clean. WDP does have the benefit for me of not having to wash every week, so I can live with a 2 minute tidy every couple of days.
